"I wished I seen this reviews before my niece moved in. Her roommate's profile indicated she likes a clean living space but left the shared space DIRTY knowing someone was moving in. The "roommate" isn't coming back till next week. SO.. who is cleaning the shared space? What's the agreement? Where's the respect? Is there a code of conduct? How are you taking all this money for rent and cannot, as a courtesy, offer to clean the place since the trifling roommate wasn't considerate enough to clean before she left for a week!!"
"The management is TRASH, DON'T go live there. The front desk at this apartment is basically part-time college students. These people are friendly, but they don't have access that can really help tenants with their problems. The manager who sits in the office just shrugs it off and says "I can't do anything to help". Here, your takeout is stolen after 10 minutes at the front desk; there are only three elevators in this 17th floor apartment, and one is always broken; the air conditioning in the apartment stops working intermittently for a while and the repairman often doesn't know what the problem is; the water pipes burst and flood some of the apartments; the roller shutter in the garage has been broken for almost a year so that anyone can go in and out of the garage at will; I parked my ebike in the garage of the apartment under lock and it was stolen twice a month. If you are looking for an apartment around the school, there are more reasonably priced and better managed apartments. As a tenant who lived here for two years and eventually fled, I think that for a good study, work, and living experience, no one should have an apartment like this."
"DO NOT RENT AT ONE ON CENTER!!! IT LOOKS VERY NICE, IT IS A DYSFUNCTIONAL DISASTER RUN BY CON ARTISTS. MANY OF MY FRIENDS HAVE HAD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES AND HAVE EITHER LEFT OR REGRETTED RE-SIGNING. Key Points: 1. Me and two other students (1 is a CMU guy, rest are Pitt students) in a 3 bedroom apartment have been charged collectively exactly $8,745.47 for water and sewer alone in 2 monthly payments. The landlord justifies this bill firmly and will not even temporarily refund us a single dollar, as they deny any discrepancy. I cannot access the payments before May on the resident portal & requested an itemized account. 2. The landlord says the issue started April 5th and provided the attached Excel Spreadsheet with the highlighted yellow columns displaying the justification for the enormous bill. These highlighted numbers sum to 293,780 total gallons of water. THEY ARE CLAIMING IM RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CYCLING TOILET SOMEHOW USING 293,780 GALLONS OF WATER. 3. I was in contact with conservice who explained their records indicated our usage totaled 130,800 gallons for May-June and 11,224 gallons for June-July. They did not mention anything else consistent with the landlord's provided spreadsheet. 4. Jamie Kronberger is the "Community Manager" for the building and is the person we've interacted with the most. Her extremely frustrating email response is exactly as follows w/my name reacted although it's not hard to figure out who I am if you know me: "Hi, Attached is the daily water use ledger for your unit from April, May and June. As we noted yesterday, our maintenance team repaired the flowing toilet in your room on June 14th. As you can see that coincides with an immediate drop in the water usage. Based on the usage data the toilet was clearly started running on April 5th. It is the responsibility of the resident of the room to submit a work order when any item is not operating correctly. Conservice is reaching out to PWSA to see if there are any credits or rebates they can offer. I will update you when I hear back from them. If you have any questions, I will be in office on Friday from 10am-4:30pm. Best, Jamie" THEY ARE CLAIMING IM RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR CYCLING TOILET SOMEHOW USING 293,780 GALLONS OF WATER. Jamie is a digrace and this place has gone massivly downhill, RUN LIKE HELL"
"The management is trash, don’t go live there. I followed every line of the lease agreement and gave them 2 months advance notice of a lease transfer, but later they said that they cant accommodate my lease transfer due to them being “short on staff”. Only after I told them that this is my right and no part in the lease did it say that they could deny me of my lease transfer due to being “short on staff”, then they say that they could accommodate it. But then they basically extruded two people I found to transfer my lease to, by being super slow with replying to my emails, and incurring a whole lot of unnecessary fees on the process. The AC in my apartment remained broken for the first few months because the maintenance guy just can’t fix it. We filed multiple maintenance requests, and the dude just shows at 8am in the morning, pretends that he’s fixing the AC for a while, and then just leaves and closes the issue. We had to talk to the management seriously for them to take the issue seriously and went to fix it, and even then the AC still didn’t work very well. The ratio of elevators to apartments is like 3:25 on every floor, and 1-2 of them were regularly broken, so enjoy your time climbing up and down the stairs."
"DO NOT LIVE HERE. Management is the absolute worst I've ever encountered. They are unresponsive and will nickel and dime you for every little thing. Very little maintenance is done on the building making it look run down. You're paying "luxury" apartment prices yet your access to amenities is heavily limited. For the price, there are so many better options. PLEASE DO YOURSELF THE BIGGEST FAVOR AND LIVE ELSEWHERE."
