Reviews of Grifols Biomat USA - Plasma Donation Center
"I got told to never come back today I felt disrespected they said I smelled musty today and said I made the lobby smell I felt humiliated by the woman staff I feel there was no compassion with how I would think with what they told saying to this with anger while it’s being taken out on me and other donors instead of saying come back tomorrow or something I was insulted and laughed at the girl rolled her eyes at me this really hurt I got injured my second time donating the lady stabbed me in my arm with the same needle she was taking out my arm she said sorry and told me to hold the gauze on my arm while she proceeded to bandage me it continued and pulled the sleeve down I’m thinking I’m all good and went home my sleeve was socked with blood got on my blanket when I got home this scared me it hurt my arm was exposed until 11:14 pm when I noticed all of this I had to re bandaged my arm all on my own because when I got home after donating I waited to take off the bandage the time they ask people to keep it on for a certain amount of time I had no clue I was still bleeding and it wasn’t covering the area the blood squirted on my face and rushed up and down my arm my family and friends also be donating there and seen this happening to me they had no intentions of being kind towards me the first day I donated with my boyfriend they told us we smelled, but still said we could still donate that same day ???? None of this made sense as to why I was being bullied by older people they kept trying to shut me up and wouldn’t hear me out my feelings matter as well this is an immature work environment the avoidance was wild, I felt like there no compassion they wanted me gone should have just said no but instead stressed me and donors out I’ve been to other centers in my past and they were never this rude and judgmental. Yet I was nice and had to defend myself more than one person grouped up on me I’m glad god showed the truth they feel very comfortable with doing this. This was disrespectful and very much discrimination I’m tired of going to a place that only tries to humiliate me thanks for wasting my time!"
"Genuinely terrible experience. Staff is unbelievably rude, they talk down to you as if you’re an idiot. Company also does not provide clear instructions for the first appointment, and is overly vague about what to bring. If you’re a college student (which I would think would be a large demographic for plasma donation) good luck proving your address! I will never be back, absolutely terrible experience."
"I was just there to donate found out I cannot donate because dics degenerate I was wondering if you test for that or is it the honesty of the person that comes in? The facility in the staff of great, I was just sading that I could not donate. Even though I'm still an organ donor I'm grateful for that and I'm grateful for the center it helps people need and maybe not me I hope never that need... In closing I'm saying this God bless you all of you for your work.. and thank you for the ones who donate everyday you are a blessing the ones in need."
"Wait times have been almost eliminated! With the introduction of the new software running scheduling behind the scenes, the longest I’ve had to wait lately is 3 minutes. There was a time prior where wait times consistently averaged 30 minutes or more. Those days are gone! The staff is fantastic, and all are highly skilled and friendly. General atmosphere is hospital-like. Very clinical. (Not like the meat locker across town on Stafford Street that we won’t mention!) Over the last 160 donations I’ve never had a bad experience! Highly recommend!"
"Although the majority of the staff there is great to be with, friendly and attentive. The clear issue is the company running it, they seem to have no care towards the inconvenience put on patients. Knowingly overbooking for the amount of staff available, which causes wait times to be longer at its busy hours. And updating a system which knowingly took more time per patient, and not staffing or scheduling accordingly (only putting a warning sign at the entrance) to account for it. I as well as multiple others left the clinic after waiting an hour and not even donating because we had scheduled a time and they did not meet it, which costs the donor money and their personal time"
