American Red Cross Blood Donation Center

"Good Evening Google Family. I was scheduled to donate Power Red today. I arrived on time. It was a bit of a challenge since it was raining today. I had to turn around to find this place but I was determined to find it and I did. I ended up going into the Concord Mall shopping mall parking lot to turn around. I was riding up on 202 South and then Google told me to turn around and go to 202 North. I did and I passed by it. Google told me I had reached it. I turned around at the light and then I backed up. I turned into the parking lot and there it was, I saw the American Red Cross sign and the building. It was raining a lot by now. But I made it Thank God!!! I arrived. I waited about 15 minutes in the waiting room until I realized that I needed to check in on the computer. No one bothered to greet me at the door or when I sat down. No one asked me, May I help you? and I mean no one did. Finally after I checked in on the computer without anyone telling me that I needed to do that, then someone in the back comes out and says good morning, someone will be right with you. This young lady had long blond two colors braids. I am just wondering if I had never took the initiative to check myself in on the computer, would someone have said to me, that someone will be right with you. On the computer it says that after you check in, that somone will call you when they are ready. Finally someone did just that. They called my name and said they were ready. The lady's name was Eileen F. She said good morning and seemed very pleasant. She asked me the necessary questions and after she pricked my finger, she told me that I could donate whole blood but not power red. I told her no, not today. I came to donate power red. She said ok thank you and have a nice day. Eileen F. was the best thing about this location. I must say that I will not be back to donate power red at this location. Its such a shame because I liked the setup of the center. It was clean and well organized. Eileen F was nice enough to tell me to help myself of the food items that the donors were expected to partake of. I did just that. Away I went, so happy that I couldn't donate today. We will try another day Google Family!!! Have a good night and don't forget to work out!!!"

"Drove a little to visit this new center for my 77th platelet donation, #18 for 2023 on Monday, October 2, 2023. I got great sticks by “Jae” (Janae) with great flow, no pain or bruising. Result was a triple & plasma for 4 units credit. They took excellent care of me and I highly recommend this site. Be aware of actual location of this center. Entrance needs to be accessed from 202 traveling north. I was traveling south, so Google maps took me through a parking lot south of the entrance."

"Impossible to find this location! Red Cross constantly harasses me to go out of my way and give them my bodily fluids free for which hospitals charge patients and insurance companies 1000s of dollars...the least they could do was put a sign or some indication that this location even exists. I drove over an hour trying to find this place and had to turn around and go home. Never again! Next time I'll go to a place I can find that gives money for platelets."

"Had such a great experience here today! Latoya was absolutely wonderful. She had me laughing and I almost forgot I was having my blood drawn. I've been donating for about 15 years and this was the best experience I've had. I will definitely be back and hope to get Latoya again!! Update: Came back after such a pleasant experience and had another great experience. Danette was very kind and very professional. She listened to my small talk while she collected my blood and was very friendly and personable. Another great experience!"
