"Just outside Harper’s Ferry on the Maryland side, sits this wonderful hostel on a ridge line overlooking the river. This place has laundry, private rooms, bunk rooms, full kitchen with free eggs and pancake mix. This place does offer shuttles, rents bikes, and even does a river float - it’s amazing. The staff are familiar with the area, are hikers and bikers, and are familiar with the needs and issues arising with your chosen activity. Highly recommend!!"
"I LOVE this place, and have intentionally returned: Great location near Harper’s Ferry, Antietam Battlefield, C&O Canal, AT, John Brown’s raid HQs, etc.; lots of folks from all over traveling to & from all over making for an eclectic melting pot of cool peeps. A great vibe of peace and love."
"After a long day cycling on the C&O, Cross Trails Hostel was a surprisingly welcome respite! The staff and vibes were most excellent, and I would gladly recommend this to any traveler wanting a friendly layover for one or many nights."
"I don't normally write reviews for places, and when I do, they either have to be outstandingly amazing or extremely disappointing. And I can say that I LOVED my stay here. The staff was very kind and understanding. We had plenty of interesting topics, and if you are a new hiker like me or even an expert hike, I can guarantee you will learn something new and find something interesting. It was most definitely a very homey feel, and I would love to come back (and I will) in the summer sometime to catch up with the fellow hikers again. You will meet (apart from the amazing staff) very interesting souls. During my stay, I met quite a few and most notable where some out of the country folks. I'm not going to get into to much details but I would definitely recommend this to anyone, Hiker or non hiker. The price is fair, you get free pancakes, a nice hot shower, and a cheap load of laundry. Again, I can't express how grateful and refreshed I felt after my stay here. They are also hard workers to keep the place clean and organized."
