"This place is as close to perfection as any I have been. All of the above 5 star reviews are true. The owners are skilled at using fine craftsmanship, high end finishes and technology to optimize their guests experience of this beautiful lake. We will be back. Advice for future guests: The stairs can be challenging. Older or disabled people should plan on staying on the sofa bed. The pillows are super rigid and thick. Consider bringing your own. The wonderful open layout means a flood of light in the morning or at night if you want to leave a downstairs light on. Bring sleep masks. There are no makeup mirrors. If you are coming to shoot photos or for an event bring your own. It is wonderfully remote. Once settled in you are going to want to stay put. Bring provisions with you. Fun to fish in lake. You don’t need a license. Catch and release. Bring your own pole and enjoy. There will be construction across the lake until November as they are finishing another cabin. Can be a bit loud. Research local history and events ahead of time. Schoenbrunn, Zoar, Amish Auctions, Cy Young Museum, wineries…lots of hidden gems. Craft Bistro Restaurant in New Philly was on of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Anything you drive to will be at least 30 minutes away but the drives (in summer) are enjoyable along rolling hills and farmland. If coming in winter be careful. Many of these roads are narrow and remote."
