WVU Medicine Ear, Nose, and Throat

"The doctor I saw was incredibly rude and dismissive. I have a genetic disorder and don't handle a lot of medications well. I explained to this doctor that a medication he was going to use on me did not react to me well, yet he used it anyway and completely dismissed me. Then he completely coated a cotton ball in it without my consent and shoved it up my nose. I ended up leaving the office with my face half numb and a racing heartbeat because of this. He also blamed everything on my anxiety, then questioned me about my medication schedule that I've been on for years just looking for ways to blame my issues on me when he did not prescibe these medications to me nor was it why I was being seen today. He kept addressing my husband instead of me and asking my husband questions pertaining to my symptoms when i was the patient! I was seen by steven coutras, and I do not recommend going to him unless you want to be gaslighted and leave disappointed."

"Most rude, dismissive doctor I've ever had. Dude seemed like he was would've rather been anywhere else. Was in a huge hurry. Don't come here if you want serious care. He's not gonna be able to help you with anything more than an infection."

"Been waiting over a month now for my 4yo to be seen here. They wait until the day the before his appt to call and say they need to reschedule but instead of keeping his place in line he now has to wait ANOTHER 2 months to be seen even though his tonsils are so enlarged he stops breathing at night... Absolutely ridiculous."

"I was here the other day, and let me tell you.... The ladies behind the reception desk were SALT-TY! One's telling the other one what to do, and the other one is like 'as long as you're doing it too' and she's like 'oh I am'. And then the first one yells at her for playing on her phone and the second one was like, 'oh you don't?' and, you guessed it...she said no. Like, really ladies? Can we not sit and thumb through our 7 year old copy of Consumer Reports and try to lip-read the episode of Days of Our Lives in peace and quiet?"
