"BEWARE!!! I stopped and got $15 worth of gas. $15 only because I didn't have the money to fill up. This gas station put a HOLD on my checking account for $126. ONE HUNDRED TWENTY SIX dollars. When I only wanted $15. ONE HUNDRED TWENTY SIX!! When I called them they said to call the bank and it's not their responsibility. The bank informed me that "some" gas stations are now putting holds on peoples credit cards when you get gas there. THIS SHOULD BE POSTED ON THE GAS PUMP!! I will never get gas there again but also will have to ask at each gas station now if they put a hold on credit cards. This was quite a shock."
"Karyie that’s dumb to blame someone else for how much gas your car needs. If the clerks calculation went wrong would would blast at him. So even though he would know he wouldn’t because people just tend to blame others. Tip for next time: count gallons and amount (money)of gas your car needs :)"
"Sadly, there's not too many Sunoco gas stations around me. I now shop more at Shop 'n Save & my gas points earned can only be redeemed at Sunoco. The Sunoco on Noblestown Rd is NOT my favorite, so I go here now. I had 96¢ off a gallon & since my car is good on gas & doesn't take much to fill it, I take gas cans with me. No lie, 30 gallons lasts me ALMOST 2 months :) Ok, so I went to Sunoco, close to closing time, & the clerk had NO clue how to figure out what 30 gallons should cost with deduction. I explained it BUT he didn't get it... So I asked for his calculator & figured it out for him. There NEEDS TO BE a better way to do this. The register doesn't automatically do the deduction for you, which makes it chaotic, when the clerk doesn't know what to do. You have to prepay for gas, which I understand, but the clerk needs to put in a dollar amount into register & I'm not giving Sunoco more money than I have to. If you pay with a debit card, you need to wait to get money returned to you if you over paid & if you DON'T give enough money you will short yourself on the entire 30 gallons. So you better know how to do math if you encounter a non-math type clerk."
"The hours clearly state 7am - 12am however, on numerous occasions I have found them closed earlier than 12am. One time in particular my grandchildren were visiting over and my grandson got sick and needed something to keep his tummy settled. I don't have a vehicle so I had to walk to Sunoco from the area near the C.I.T fields. Being 62 and needing a knee replacement along with several herniated discs it was not a pleasant stroll in the park. I arrived at the Sunoco at 10:05pm to find them closed. I could see a woman wiping down the coffee area so I knocked on the door. She shouted the obvious and I pointed out the time. She said she was allowed to close early to clean every night. I could go on about the many other reasons I won't go back there with incompetence from the top down leading the charge."
"Just a heads up about the new older lady employee, she hasn't been trained properly for the position yet and refuses to reach out to a boss or Coworker when asked to. I go there everyday cause I live in the neighborhood and needed to split my payment between two cards. First I got told it can't be done, then got screamed at by her when I asked her to call and see how to do it. I also had my children with me and another customer tried to explain to her how to do it cause they used to work there and all she wanted to do was scream and act like I was trying to steal. Calling the owner on Monday about the issue but good luck to anyone who goes in till its handled. Every other employee there is amazing and the new owner is doing wonderful things with the place!"
