"My mother has been a resident at McMurray Hills Manor for several years. I have never seen a staff more caring or considerate of their residents. Unfortunately, I went through many nursing homes with my father, so I have seen the worst of the worst. MHM is always clean. Everyone here, from the administration, aides and RN’s, they are wonderful to deal with, kind and caring and they treat the residents as a person and not just a job. I wish I had found them sooner !"

"I’m writing this review to discourage anyone who is considering putting their loved one in this facility. My aunt was treated with neglect and was disrespected the entire time she was in there. Growing up around my aunt my entire life I have memories of her beautiful curly hair she was always dressed nice and had a clean home. To visiting her many times smelling so strong of urine because she hadn’t been changed for many hours and her hair was so dirty and greasy it stood up by itself. I can always tell what she had for lunch and dinner because it was always down the front of her gown. While being in mcmurray hills manor every ounce of dignity was taken away from her. So please don’t let your loved one go through the same neglect as my aunt."

"My mother was a resident for over five years. She recently passed away at age 95. The staff, including hospice, were competent, compassionate and caring. If I were to need a nursing facility myself, this is the one I would choose."

"Please don't put your loved one in this facility. My mom was in this nursing home and received terrible care!. My mom got a urinary tract infection and the nurse refused to check her just because she didn't have a fever, people get uti's and don't always get fevers. Well, 3 weeks later my mom's UTI was sepsis and she was in the hospital in serious condition. I wouldn't put my dog in this place. I wish they would shut this place down."

"I have been a medical social worker for over 17 years. I have worked in all facets of long term care, and this facility is one of the best nursing facilities in the South Hills. COVID changed healthcare staffing and burned many healthcare professionals out, but this facility has managed to keep their long term staff who have worked here for years. Which was and is a feat in itself during and post-Covid when healthcare, especially long term care facilities, have taken hit after hit from individuals who have never spent a day in their life working in healthcare. The staff here care and pour their hearts, time, and often money into doing things for their patients and families. I have observed this firsthand. I spend several days a week here and have been visiting this facility for 7 years, and staff are always kind and helpful and they are the same faces I've been seeing for years. The therapy staff have been in the facility for many years and are also superb. There will always be people who are unhappy, but please do not allow these reviews to skew your judgment. Many families have related their satisfaction about this facility. It's unfortunate that more people don't take the time to write reviews when they are positive. Please tour this facility and speak to the staff in person, and make your own judgments. If you are unable to this, then please reach out to a healthcare professional who has been in different facilities throughout the Pgh area, so that you have a basis to compare this facility."
