South Side Community Garden

Welcome to the South Side Community Garden, a vibrant and inclusive space located at 313 E Home St, New Castle, PA. We are committed to fostering community revitalization and engagement, particularly for people with disabilities. Operated by the Disability Options Network (DON), our garden is more than just a green space; it's a hub for community integration, entertainment, and support services.

What We Offer:

- Free Food and Entertainment: Join us for various events featuring complimentary food, live entertainment, and activities for children. We also host spectacular fireworks displays to bring the community together.

- Community Engagement: Our garden serves as a place for architectural salvage, retail sales, and donations, all aimed at helping consumers with disabilities live, work, and thrive.

- Support Services: DON Services provides a wide range of assistance, including personal assistant services (PAS) under OLTL and ODP waivers, community integration, respite, employment services, and nursing home transition. We assist with enrolling in the Medical Waiver program and navigating complex service systems.

- Quality of Life Improvement: We believe that living at home in the community of your choice is a big part of the American Dream. For many people with disabilities, the only barrier to fulfilling that dream is the need for assistance. DON Services is here to provide that support, helping you live how and where you choose.
