"We drove from Morgantown to visit Ella’s Playtown today and I can honestly say that it was worth the drive! It is basically every toddlers dream. My three year old did not want to leave. He kept saying “One more minute!” everytime I told him we had to go home. They truly thought of everything from the theming of each room, to the WiFi/ cafe for the parents, all the way down to the “potty” seats and step stools in the bathroom. Each room was themed so cute as you can see in the photos. I love that there was a room for everyone and some had age restrictions to keep the youngest ones safe. The employees also did a great job of putting the toys back where they belong as kids pulled them to different rooms. This is not preventable so give the workers some grace because these kids move faster than the speed of light lol I also appreciated the level of cleanliness the business has. They only allowed socks in the play room (don’t forget socks if you’re coming even adults!) and they also had bins for dirty toys to be placed in order to be cleaned. When I take my toddler some places I say to myself,”Great…I can’t wait to see what sickness he gets now,” but I did not feel that way when I left Ella’s Playtown! We honestly could’ve spent all day here if we had the time and next time we may make a longer day out of it, but our overall experience was a 10/10. This is a great family run small business that I was happy to support. The owner was so nice and even Ella herself greeted us at the door. The only complaint I have is that you’re not in Morgantown yet!! Hope to be back soon! Thank you for a great place to make memories and let their imaginations run wild."
"I took my kids here on a rainy day - it cost me $40 to play about 2 hours. While we *could* have played all day, I have young kids with nap schedules so that isn't really an option for us right now. I wish they had an hourly rate and a daily rate. My kids mostly liked climbing in the indoor play structure, it was a good way to burn off energy. There are play rooms that are supposedly themed but many of the toys within the themes are mixed up. The toys in the playrooms looked really worn for having just opened, almost as if they came from a yard sale. For instance, the door on the toy oven was broken and hanging off it's hinges. There was one room that just had containers of miniature action figure toys and these were all thrown together and not organized and it just felt sort of like junk. I get that it's hard to keep toys organized but that is literally the business you own, so pieces of toys should be kept together. At other places, toys were missing components. For instance, in the toddler play area there was a little push camping truck that looked like it should have come with many pieces of play food etc and none of these were included. We actually own a lot of the pretend toys (or something similar) so I can't fathom paying $40 to pay to take my kids to a place that has similar toys where most pieces are missing when we could just play at home. The staff was really nice and I want to underscore that I love the concept of this place, but I find it really overpriced for what you get and can't envision going there more than twice a year."
"First time there and last time there! It was great at first but then an HOUR in they tell me I can’t have a stroller. They watched us walk around for an HOUR with a stroller before telling me I couldn’t walk around with it. They said it was one of their rules but their rules are posted and that is not one. When asked to see the rules in writing they could not provide it and said they were going to go buy umbrella strollers that can be used there(which isn’t suitable for an infant). They said that rule is posted on their website but it is not! They literally added that rule after an hour of us being there. They said it was “unsanitary” because it touched the ground outside, but I could carry my baby in her car seat which is like 50 pounds with her in it while I chase my 2 year old. So if anyone has a wheel chair or walker or anything like it, you can’t go there because it’s unsanitary since it has touched the ground. We were so excited because there was finally something our 2 year old could do around the area but I guess that’s not it. I really wanted to be happy with this place. If they have that kind of attitude towards a stroller and randomly adding it as a rule, I don’t want to know what else they would come up with on the spot. They weren’t even nice about it. She literally came up to me and said “strollers can’t be in here” and opened the gate and pretty much escorted me out of the play area. They saw me walk in with the stroller, if they would have said something as soon as they saw it then I wouldn’t be mad. Or if it was actually a rule I wouldn’t be mad. But the fact that I was having a good time with my 2 year old for an HOUR before it being mentioned infuriates me. It’s great for kids that can walk but not so much for infants since they have to be carried the whole time. UPDATE: Check the cameras again. The front desk lady DID NOT tell us that! What a joke. I wasn’t informed until an hour later."
"We had the very best day at Ella’s Playtown. The atmosphere was nothing short of amazing. Every single employee was kind, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure everyone was having a good time. Each play room was filled with the neatest theme and so many toys. Every part of the building was super clean. The cafe had the best food and their prices on the food were amazing. It was such a fun filled day. We will hold the memories made close to our hearts. We will definitely be back. We highly recommend this place for anyone with children."
"We checked out Ella's Playtown on our way back into town from a trip today. Our girls absolutely loved it, and so did we! It really exceeded my expectations. The staff was so friendly and attentive, the place is very clean, and they have so many toys and activities for kids to play and be entertained for hours! Our 3 year old enjoyed getting her face painted and playing pretend in all the little shops. Our 20 month old enjoyed the cozy coupe cars and pushing around the shopping carts! We became “founding members” today, and we are so excited to try out their classes! I definitely recommend taking your little ones here to play!"
