"Jahnye was a very attentive waitress. We had the whole chicken, greens, Mac and cheese, Sweet Potatoes, Shrimp and grits, hush puppies, spicy chicken dip and riblets. Most of our food was great. The chicken was tasty but not crispy. The greens had a little too much vinegar. The Manager Kevin was very accommodating. Brought a piece of chicken out after he spoke to the Chef and the chicken was crispy. I like the staff and this place should be a go to for the neighborhood!"

"If you are in the mood for Fried Chicken (Straight or Sandwich) The Eagle should be your go to. If you are not in the mood for this, then it’s probably not a good choice. Menu options are very limited but the food is amazingly good. The Mac n Cheese was had by 2 others in the party and it was very cheesy and very good. The fries had a wonderful flavor using the herbs available while making the chicken! Would absolutely go back if I wanted Fried Chicken but that’s about it."

This very spacious restaurant boasts a stunning southern-themed décor that immediately sets a welcoming tone. Our server, Claire, was exceptional. She diligently explained the menu with great detail and was extremely attentive, making us feel like very important guests. Her service deserves 5 stars for going above and beyond to accommodate us both. As for the food, it was simply outstanding. The blackberry lemonade, 1/2 fried chicken, collard greens, mac & cheese, homemade biscuits, and spoon cornbread were all prepared to perfection. Each dish was mouthwateringly good. The Eagle stands out among other restaurants offering southern-style cuisine for its well-executed meals. The ambiance inside the restaurant is breathtaking, with beautiful views both inside and out. Another 5-star rating well-deserved for the atmosphere. Additionally, parking is convenient, with both street and garage options available in Downtown. Overall, I highly recommend The Eagle to anyone looking for a home-style meal cooked to perfection. We also had the pleasure of passing on a note to Chef Joe, the chef for the evening, to express our appreciation for the most delicious meal."

"Good place for Southern Style restaurant in north. . Our first host server and primary server had a “twisted turn over” for our table of four. The bar was out of a few drafts. The food was good. Being from the south it wasn’t great. The collard greens were awesome. The grits had a nice flavor but dry and sticky. The fried chicken was a bit greasy and over breaded. The breading had a nice spicy sweet flavor. The hush puppies and chicken dip were good. Perhaps a chip better than a tortilla with the chicken dip would be more complimentary. Overall nice spot. Our primary server was great and attentive."

"Early dinner. Chicken was tasty. Kale salad was excellent. Shrimp and grits was average. Spoonbread was good. Big airy room that got quite busy as it got later. Perky server, Michelle was terrific. Decent value for this meal."
