Hip at the Flashlight Factory

"I wanted to create a unique experience to propose to my Fiancée Judy. The industrial vibe and decor of HIP at the Flashlight Factory provided exactly what I was looking for. Gracie was extremely wonderful to work with. Gracie enhanced my vision and created such a phenomenal experience. We created a meandering walkway lit by hundreds of candles. Long stem roses in vases and real roses petals completed the walkways boundaries. Strategically placed tables aligned the walkway. These tables held photos of Judy and I’s history together. We were able to walk, basking in candlelight and reminisce about our life together. Judy and I ventured into another room lit with more candles, more roses and rose petals. This room is where I got down on one knee and I asked Judy to be my wife. Her reply was YES! Judy was overwhelmed and flabbergasted. Even our Photographer commented on how unique this was planned and organized. Gracie did a fantastic job, she was as enthusiastic as I was! She was very professional and paid extreme attention to all my details. Thank you Gracie, hopefully we can work together some time in the future!"

"I am awestruck, this venue was amazing! My son was married there yesterday. He and his bride stayed in 2 of the lofts the day before and the evening of the event. You have to see this place with its industrial, modern chic, eclectic environment! Gracie with her tireless energy and her amazing staff who all just put you at ease and made you feel welcome, were the best part of the venue. If you are looking for a unique spot for your events in Pittsburgh this is definitely the place!"

"Gracie and her team are an absolute DREAM. My husband and I were married here in October of this year (2018). We searched and searched for a venue in Pittsburgh that spoke to us but really couldn't find a single place we liked. We live in Los Angeles and really wanted to be married in a space that was unique and felt like "us". Finally I found HIP on what I honestly believe was their first week that they had made their website live. We knew it was the place. The industrial feel was complimented by soft white brick walls and beautiful wood floors. We're minimalist design people and could really get a sense of how amazing the space would be filled with tons of candles and simple string lights. Gracie was with us every step of the way, she was always quick to return emails and phone calls and didn't hesitate to help us with anything we needed or to give her professional advice/opinion. Her entire team was so willing to help and was right there working through set up/wedding/breaking down. We had the best wedding and received SO many compliments on the space and how it felt like "us". Gracie and her team truly made our vision a reality. I can't say enough how supportive, enthusiastic and reassuring they all were. The lofts above the space are an amazing added bonus. The fact that there are two made the wedding day that much more fun- the girls got ready on one side and the guys in the other. It was so stress free to be in one place all day and we chose to stay there that night as well which I HIGHLY recommend. I can't believe how smoothly the day went and I just have to attribute that to them. The space is gorgeous, you really won't find anything else like it in Pittsburgh. We can't thank them enough. Pretty soon this place is going to be booked solid for years in advance so if you're even considering it, I'd say DO IT and don't hesitate. You will not regret it!"
