Welcome to West Orchards Farm Market, a family-owned gem located at 3034 N Ridge Rd, Perry, OH 44081, United States. Nestled near the fertile banks of Lake Erie in Lake County, this historic farm has been cultivated by the West family since 1891. Todd and Ame West, the fifth generation of farmers, proudly continue the tradition on their 70-acre farm, growing a variety of deciduous fruit trees including sour cherries, peaches, plums, nectarines, pears, and apples.
West Orchards Farm Market is not just about buying fresh produce; it’s about experiencing the joy of picking your own. Bring your family along for a delightful day of picking strawberries and sour cherries from our expansive patches and tree rows, making it an enjoyable and easy activity for all. Please call ahead to check availability, typically from mid-June through July. We have also recently planted brambles and sweet cherries, which will be ready for u-pick in the coming years.
In addition to fruits, we cultivate a variety of small vegetables such as peppers, cucumbers, pickles, cabbage, tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini, beets, gourds, and pumpkins. And don't miss out on our mouth-watering bi-color sweet corn. If you see our corn trailer out front, you can be sure it’s filled with freshly picked West corn.
Our farm market operates at 3034 North Ridge Road, offering fresh produce directly from our fields. Market hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and we are closed on Mondays. Please note that early and late in the season, crop availability may affect our hours, so it’s a good idea to call ahead before your visit.
We are honored to have received the Century Farm certificate, recognizing our farm's long-standing heritage, signed by Governor John R. Kasich and the Ohio Department of Agriculture. This certificate, a testament to our farm’s history, is meant to be cherished and passed down through future generations.
