"My girlfriend and I had breakfast here the other day and it’s still the best breakfast spot in downtown Pittsburgh, hands dahn! I had eggs, home fries, bacon, and toast and it was all cooked, seasoned, and prepared excellently — classic breakfast diner faire. My girlfriend had the waffle and the subtle malt flavor made it easily the best tasting waffle I’ve ever had (and I’m a connoisseur of them ; ). We also talked to George, who along with his father has been working there for years. The staff is always consistently kind and prompt. If you are in downtown Pittsburgh and looking for a great, classic breakfast spot — Nicky’s is the only place to go!"

"Went here for breakfast. We ordered the French toast, sausage links, eggs, and coffee. There wasn’t anything outstanding about the breakfast menu, pretty much just the standard breakfast staples, however everything is fairly priced and exactly what you would expect. I thought the counter seating was fun and unique, although with such a large counter there are few booths and you may find the counter to be your only option."
