Communicycle Beaver County is a community-driven organization dedicated to fostering connections, empowering individuals, and enacting positive change through the simple yet impactful act of bicycle repair and distribution. Established in the fall of 2011, Communicycle began with a group of men building a handicap ramp for a local woman in Aliquippa, PA. When her grandson asked for help fixing a bike, the word spread quickly, and soon neighborhood children began seeking bike repairs as well. This spontaneous act of community service sparked the creation of Communicycle, which has since repaired and distributed thousands of bicycles to individuals in need across Beaver County, PA, and beyond.

At Communicycle, we CONNECT community members by working together on bicycle repairs, fostering genuine relationships, and meeting practical needs. Our dedicated volunteers teach kids and community members essential bike repair skills, empowering them with knowledge and confidence. We collaborate with local businesses and other community outreach organizations to enhance our services, ensuring we meet the needs of our community more effectively.

We COLLECT used bikes and bike parts to refurbish and repair bicycles, which are then distributed to those who lack access to a bike. To help offset our expenses, we also collect scrap metal. Our operations are primarily volunteer-driven, reflecting our commitment to community engagement and service.

Our ultimate goal is to inspire real CHANGE in the lives of individuals, neighborhoods, and entire communities. We envision a community where acts of kindness, no matter how small, bring people together, fostering a spirit of service and mutual support.
