"Dr Shapiro and his staff are THE BEST! My wisdom tooth removal went flawlessly. I was given clear after care instructions and Dr Shapiro even called me himself after surgery! I highly recommend them to anyone needing dental surgery."
"I was referred to here by my general dentist. Was able to schedule a procedure very quick. Everyone from the doctor to all the staff was very informative, helpful and compassionate. They are an easy recommendation for when you are dealing with complicated dental needs"
"After getting a referral from my dentist and my girlfriend sharing me their YouTube videos, I was convinced that this was the place to go for my oral surgery. The staff was kind enough to fit me in quickly, as my surgery was a bit of an emergency. The online forms were simple to understand and easy to fill out. Soon enough I had everything set up and scheduled for my appointment. Upon arrival, I walked in to a cozy environment. TV in the waiting room and a Keurig machine to keep me preoccupied while waiting for my turn to go in. A smile and kindness greeting me at the front desk with a positive attitude. iPad sign in made the beginning fast and easy. The staff was more than kind to address my insurance issues that I have; it's a bit of a task for me to know my exact coverage. They were kind in taking the reigns and helping me get the best coverage I could get. Once called back, a restroom greeted me directly through the entry door to the surgery rooms. Greatly appreciated because sometimes you just don't have control of your nerves and have to use the restroom before a procedure. The chair was relaxing to sit in and the assistant was thoughtful and caring during the introductory process. They couldn't reach my primary dentist's office for the X-ray scans and offered to do a complimentary X-ray, which eased my worry of cost later. The assistant went over, in great detail, the entirety of my mouth...step by step showing me what was healthy, what was passable, and what might need work next. The monitor offered high detailed imagery. There was also plenty of natural light coming from outside and a beautiful portrait of a mountain scape to allow my mind to not focus on worry, but to be more carefree and calm. Dr. Shapiro was rather busy, but the time didn't drag and soon enough he entered. A smile and welcome as he walked in let me know that he really enjoyed what he did. I told him about my mouth and how it wasn't the greatest and he broke the ice so easily by assuring me he has seen almost every type of mouth in his time being a surgeon and working in dentistry. Soon enough, even through my infection and pain, we were all smiling and sharing a few jokes before the procedure started. The surgery started with numbing agents. He gave me fair warning of the stings of the needle. I told him that my head tends to twitch a bit, uncontrollable nerves...as some people have. He assured it would not be an issue, and it wasn't. He was so accurate with the needle that the first push into my gums by the infection actually gave a hole for some of my infection to drain out, which gave me quite a bit of relief from the pressure and felt like an added bonus! Within five minutes the numbness took away all sensation and he returned to work. Two teeth needed to be extracted completely, and the procedure was done quicker than a 10 minute oil change! I was shocked at how fast he moved, the assistant standing next to me to help and give me more comforting assurance knowing they truly cared about their work. I thanked him and the assistant and am eager to keep him as my oral surgeon for as long as Dr. Shapiro continues his career. I honestly wished to buy him a drink or give him a hug for how amazing he was lol! A matter of minutes later, I was back out by the front desk to handle being checked out and making my payment. The wonderful woman behind the desk blessed me with one last present by showing me that my insurance covered almost the entirety of the cost. More calm washed over me and I made my payment. They gave me plenty of helpful papers on how to take care of my mouth while recovering and some complimentary gauze, which definitely helped because I needed to go shopping for soft foods, ibuprofen, and some calming essentials. I highly recommend Ohio Dental Implants & Oral Surgery, Dr. Michael Shapiro. The best surgical care I had in a long time. Added bonus, when you're by the front desk and checking out...look for a small box by the door that says "take one". Open it for a chuckle. Thank you to Dr. Shapiro and all his staff! :)"
"My husband and I both needed implants and extensive dental work. Our dentist referred us to Dr. Shapiro. We had our initial consultation and felt comfortable and at ease with the doctor and his staff. They worked with our insurance company and scheduled our procedures. We went through the procedures and are on our way to the end results (crowns and bridges). I’m not going to lie to you some of the procedures were difficult, but the during the procedures the staff made it as comfortable as they could. Dr Shapiro called us the day after the procedures to check on us and see how we were doing. I felt he truly was concerned about his patients. After one procedure I had it was days later that I called the office with some concerns and they immediately got me in to see the doctor. Dr Shapiro and his staff care about the people that he treats. Nobody wants to go through dental work, but if you need to see an oral surgeon I would definitely recommend Dr. Shapiro. "I was a little nervous going into my wisdom tooth procedure, as I had never had any kind of surgery or been put under. Both Dr.Shapiro and his staff make you feel comfortable and at ease. Not only does everyone have a friendly, professional demeanor, but they are also all very knowledgeable in what they're doing. I very much recommend visiting here for your oral surgery needs!"
