"Gorgeous mansion with an engaging tour guide. Even my kid liked it! Beautiful grounds to walk around."
"I did the Classic Mansion Tour and had an awesome time! The gift shop is adjacent to where you check in and has some cute stuff. The gallery in the adjacent building is small, but really cool and extremely air conditioned. Our tour guide was a friendly old man who was able to answer all sorts of questions and made the tour fun. The manion is stunning and very unique compared to others. Afterwards, we walked the beautiful grounds, including the rose garden and greenhouse, which was such a highlight. Our tour guide mentioned Sunnyside Mansion, Washington Irving's summer home was just a few miles away and we wished we had planned to visit that one in the same day too. Looked super cool from the outside. They do allow small bags inside the mansion, as well as water bottles. They do allow photos, but video is not allowed."
"Was here yesterday for a private event hosted by the Simons Foundation which I work at as a hospitality assistant for a day outing for all the employees. They had food stands and drinks for us and games and entertainment and the mansion was open for self-guided tours. I had only been here once before on Memorial Day in 2007. I hadn’t remembered how the big the grounds of the estate were. Loved the bowling alley as well and the gothic architecture of the mansion. Gorgeous weather yesterday there and a beautiful view of the Hudson River."
"Really cool, loved the tour. The gentleman who led the tour was very knowledgeable and made the tour more exciting. The views were gorgeous and definitely would have been prettier later in spring or even fall"
"Stunning mansion on a huge park. All staff members were very nice and professional. I did the 1 hour guided tour of the mansion and I roamed around the park. Our guide was Rick, he was very informative, professional, fun and polite. Beautiful place to visit."
