"Meadville Campground is an amazing place to camp as a seasonal camper or just a weekend camper. The owners are so nice and accommodating to the campers needs. This place is great for all ages. Defiantly go camping here you will enjoy the amazing atmosphere, customer service, and lots of amenities that are offered. Thank you and I look forward to being a seasonal camper each year."
"We stay at a lot of KOA campgrounds. This was our first at a KOA Journey as opposed to KOA Holiday or Resort. After reading the definitions on the KOA site my expectations were lowered a little. I normally stay at the KOA (Erie/McKean) but this one was closest to a family wedding in Cambridge Springs and was a bonus camping trip for us. I was pleasantly surprised it still had some Holiday type features like a nice pool, camp store, fishing ponds and play areas. What you won't find it deluxe paved patio sites and fancy cabins. Our Site was a grass pull through. It was pretty level and the electric, water, and sewar hook ups were in good shape and easy to access. I We visited on their last weekend of the season. The store while still reasonably stocked had some good end of season sales going on. The check in people were friendly and efficient and seemed genuinely happy to see us. Very nice people Traveling in a pop up camper clean shower/bathroom facilities are important to us. These were clean and in good working order. The building isn't heated like KOA's that stay open year around in this area, so I'm not faulting them for this. While the shower was one of the ones I usually hate because of having to press a button to turn on the shower, the shower did get hot enough and it stayed on long enough to have a decent shower. It took two presses on the shower as I was having a semi luxurious hot shower since the place wasn't real crowded. I found this place clean, comfortable and well run. If life brings us to this area, we will definitely stay again."
"I have pros and cons about our experience the campground. Upon checking in, we were led by a golf cart to our site and the driver helped my husband park. Talk about an awesome amenity! He even brought us our firewood. The location is nice...grounds are nice. Seems to focus on family which is great. The bath house's absolutely sucked. Filthy is an understatement. There were bugs (alive and dead) all thru the shower stall that had hardly any pressure. Other shower out of order. It needs updated badly, as do the swing sets on the grounds and the paddle boats. Broken and dangerous. In my opinion, the bath house should be one of the first things that get taken care of. I know it costs money to update, but in the meantime, it should be kept clean and sanitary. Just because the sinks are yellow and the toilet seats are broken and the shower is disgusting, it still needs to be kept clean. Will we be back? Yes. It was overall a pretty place and with a few improvements, it will be top notch!"
"We are not fans of large commercialized campgrounds. A recent trip to Asheville, NC reinforced this dislike. KOA Journey is definitely an exception to this rule. The facility was really nice and the staff super friendly. If you are going to be in the Meadville area I recommend staying at this campground."
"It's only our second trip out with our camper however I can say these guys have set the bar pretty high for other sites to meet. The staff is extremely friendly and outgoing. The layout is conveniently configured to allow every site easy access to amenities that are offered. The fishing ponds are very nice and well stocked with Bluegill. Cant think of a had thing to say about the place. We will definitely be back."
