"I highly recommend Treasure Mountain Labrador Retrievers for anyone looking for a family pet. I did a lot of research before picking Treasure Mountain. Some breeders breed labs for hunting. But we were not looking for a high energy/high prey-drive dog. Other breeders post cute pictures of less expensive labs (curiously, with the same pictures appearing on multiple sites). But be careful, many of these pups are raised like livestock, producing as many litters as possible with little regard for socialization, cleanliness or inherited health issues. Treasure Mountain is a reputable breeder who addresses each of these issues to provide beautiful, healthy and well-adjusted puppies for families to love. Stacey W, the owner of Treasure Mountain, has been incredible to work with. Even though she was recommended to me, I still had a lot of questions for her. She is totally professional and cares about each and every dog in her care (including the mamas who she retires when they turn age 5 and only breeds 5 times, at most). She willingly answered all of my questions thoroughly and patiently. Stacey is well organized with her record keeping and meticulous in the cleanliness of their facility. We picked out our pup from a picture when he was only days old. From then on, she communicated weekly with updates and more pictures of him being loved by every member of her large family. When we picked up our puppy at 8 weeks, he had zero fleas, no worms and was already litter box trained (which made house breaking quite easy). He came to us with a blanket and a toy that had the scent of his litter. These items helped ease the transition on that first night and since then when we travel. Others have said how smart and trainable these puppies are. I agree wholeheartedly, but it is no accident. Yes, labs are a great breed, but Stacey’s love and attention to detail make these the best lab puppies they can be.
