"Total Score: 8.15 Bathroom: 4/5 Fancy sliding door to the bathroom Customer Service: 3/5 ‘Twas alright. Fairly nice. Ambiance: 5/5 Love the art installation. And they even had a dj today where it was karaoke night. Tho it was a bit sad that it was a bit empty. Food: 3.75/5 The California rice bowl was like a hodgepodge of random things but still fairly good. Tried a bit of the fries but tbh it was kinda dry Wow: 1/1 Who knew that bbq and rice would go so well together ugh if I had one junk food to eat to trash my stomach with it would be this. Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW"

"I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the food. Hands down the best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had in my life. The birria fries were amazing and my friends meals looked as fire as mine. I’d highly suggest trying this place out. The owner Shane was very kind and hospitable. The chef was equally as friendly. This is my new favorite restaurant in South side"

"This is a great new restaurant on the Southside! The new owners took the old Excuses bar from a cluttered, dim hangout to a nice, modern and comfortable place. The food is top notch with a Cajun theme. I had the BBQ pork which was delicious and my wife enjoyed the New Orleans bowl and the "Toomy" sauce was tasty (think Cajun mayo meets Yum Yum sauce). We'll definitely be back."
