"Dr. Goltz is wise and kind; he was there for me during my health crisis as both my doctor and a father figure. His staff is attentive and caring. The office manager personally investigated a billing issue between my insurance company and the testing lab, and had the charges waived. Don't be fooled by his age: he is very sharp and is training resident doctors."

"Dr. Goltz and his staff were able to successfully care for me when I needed it. The surgery merits 4 stars (knocked a star since anesthesia was billed separately to an out-of-network doc and this was not discussed with me beforehand) but I switched doctors a few weeks post-surgery. Dr. Gotlz's office charged me $200 for a 5 minute post-surgical bed side visit. I may have been groggy, but others who were in the room verified this as true - Dr. Goltz made a number of inappropriate comments, which included telling me how terrible I looked and I would never look as good as my husband. I saw him once after that for post-surgical follow-up and then found a new endocrinologist."

"I am a long time former patient of Dr. Goltz. I am very disappointed to see all these negative reviews because i have nothing but the best experience with him and his office. I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and had multiple doctors working together on my treatment. Dr. Goltz always showed me immense compassion during a difficult time. I will admit i had multiple office visits where i had to wait past my appointment time but i am convinced that is because Dr. Goltz goes above and beyond with each patient he sees. I have recently moved to the west coast, where i am seeing a new endocrinologist. I was asked to come in on short notice and Dr. Goltz's office was able to fax over all my extended medical history to my new provider with less than a 24 hr. notice. I am beyond grateful for Dr. Goltz and all of his staff."

"I started seeing Dr. Goltz for thyroid issues as he was recommended by my OBGYN's office. Don't go here-- go to Heritage Valley Endocrinology instead! (They are wonderful). He doesn't have an open conversation with his patients to make sure they understand the results of their testing that was done. He just says "your numbers are good," prescribes you medication, and tells you to "go make babies." I had a thyroid ultrasound done and he never once went over those results with me. For someone who was just diagnosed with a new medical condition, I had a lot of questions and he didn't act like he wanted to answer any of them. The only good thing I have to say is that he ordered the appropriate blood work to diagnose me and was able to prescribe me the proper medication. I've already switched doctors. He may have been a great doctor at one point, but it's time for him to retire."

"This is the absolute worse doctor I have ever had. I had blood work done with concerning results I was informed by the nurse via phone. Made an appointment went in and he did a straight check up and I kept asking about my blood work which he knew nothing about then disappeared for 25 minutes turns out he went to LUNCH! Then returns and says I’m diabetic check my sugar 3 times a day doesn’t write script for a tester or anything doesn’t go further to explain anything just nothing he is too old and doesn’t care for his patients"
