"Terrible experience. Concrete showed up just over 2.5 hours late. I had three guys on the job waiting for it. It was a small pour in terms of yardage but a complicated 16 step pour down a hill with 3 landings. Supposed to be delivered at 10am. I called at 1015 and was told they were loading up now and I’d have it in an hour. Called again around 1115 and was told it was on truck 81 but they didn’t have gps on it. Called again at 12 and was told 5 minutes out. Truck 15 showed up at 1236, not even the truck they told me was coming. I was told they don’t strive for this but it happens. We were trying to pour in the cooler morning but got pushed into the heat of the day. Pour turned out decent but tensions were high to say the least. From now on I’ll pay the higher prices to use their competitors."

"I ordered concrete to be delivered at 4:30. When the driver hadn't shown at 5:15, we called. They said he was at the next street down… he wasn’t. I drove down the road 15 + miles thinking he couldn’t find us. We called a few more times then they called me. The dispatch had the driver going to an address in Clio.. by Dort and Lewis road which is clearly not Otisville. Wrong address on the ticket and no phone number for the driver to call for better directions Obviously by the time he got here and starting pouring it, the concrete was setting up quickly. The guys didn’t have time to trim the edges but they did the best they could before it was set. It’s not the best job but it’s far from the worst. Given the circumstances, the guys hustled and did what they could in the situation. The driver, Kevin was awesome. He even got out to lend a hand. I called today and left a message for someone to call me. I never heard from them . Im disappointed in the way this transaction was handled and not even a return call. I would highly recommend the driver have the clients correct address and the phone number for any mistakes. It’s not cheap to replace concrete!! Mark at Modern contacted me. He saw where the error was and made it right with me. I greatly appreciate the follow up on my complaint. Thank you Mark!"

"No experience necessary for concrete workers when you have Delivery Dave on the job. I highly recommend asking for him if you need a delivery. By far the best placement of material I have personally seen. I was sidelined and only had 3 able bodies. No one had concrete experience beyond mixing a bag or 2 in wheel barrow. I'm starting here with the review. Calling company and hope to have him deliver our next load and approach into barn. Kiddos to Dave!"

"**DO NOT TRUST MODERN CONCRETE INC/ MODERN TRANSPORT** I nearly died while riding passenger of a vehicle because of Modern Concrete and their inability to follow simple laws. Their gravel train was carrying two additional trailers along with its regular load. Obviously way too much for the 70+ year old man operating the vehicle. He was swerving all over the road throwing rocks from his truck and trailers. I watched cars swerving all over the road as rocks the size of my fist came flying from his trucks. A rock a little smaller than a baseball came flying us in the opposite lane as the truck and I shielded my face as I knew the glass was going to shatter and the large rock was going to bust mt head open. It did make contact, but thankfully since it's a 2022 vehicle it shattered and cracked the windshield and the rock did not enter, which would have seriously injured or possibly killed me. The driver of the vehicle I was in laid on the horn for over 2 mins while the driver for MODERN CONCRETE flipped her off and kept driving. This driver would be facing hit and run and manslaughter charges if the vehicle I was riding in wasn't so new and equipped with saftey features. I hope the person I was with takes this company to court, Modern Concretes lack of attention to their workers is absolutely disgusting, and the owners of this company should be ashamed of themselves for running such a shady business."
