"Very professional service. Found them on Angi. Came to my house to give a free formal quote before doing anything. They took photos of the completed job and emailed them to me. Cleaned up everything after the job was complete (fixed siding on my house). They were very reliable and professional, and did a great job. I already have another project booked with them!"
"We had Third Generation Home Improvements do new roof, windows, siding and gutters on our house. As part of the siding project they did stonework on the front of the house. It all started with Scott and Mike coming to our house to give us pricing and explain what exactly would be done each step of the way. Everything they said would be done was. The roof was done first then the windows then the siding and finally the gutters. The quality of the work was excellent on every phase. However, the attention to detail on the siding was exceptional! So many little things they did that added up to a beautiful finished product. The project managers were great. Derek stayed on top of the scheduling and Alan was our on site manager. He was so good at communicating with us and his attention to detail is outstanding. On a project this big it would be foolish to think it would go flawlessly. There were a couple of minor issues, both ours and theirs. Nothing major at all. That being said they addressed everything promptly. We had some rotted wood we didn’t know about and Mike had a contractor out the next day to fix the problem so the project could continue. Great customer service! We couldn’t be happier with the end result! We’ve included before and after pictures."
"Over the years I have hired many many different contractors, but only about 10% of them have been any good, truly cared about their work, showed up on time....I am happy to add 3rd Generation to that list. They are big enough to have separate teams, with different people to do labor, project management, accounting, sales, etc so pricewise they would not be ideal for small projects. But for big projects, you really need a team to handle everything. The work itself was done well and on time, no "well we'll try to come out next Thursday" kind of thing. It was scheduled well beforehand and the team worked throughout the day until everything was done. Electronic billing, points of contact, material delivery, dumpster retrieval...even a project manager to stop by periodically to check the work and confirm clean-up. Are they perfect? No. No company is. With a large company like this, sometimes you tell one person something, but then it has to filter through sales, contracts, down to the workers, and things can get missed. So it is always important to have everything part of the work order. And I had to do some minor clean-up, but honestly it was very minor, and possibly some things I cleaned up were there before these guys started work. I think their name is confusing (who cares, right?) but the issue is that in town there are other companies named "3rd Generation", so if looking for reviews or contact information...I am sure people get confused. Bottom line is that I would use them again, they were very knowledgeable, they truly cared that things were done right, I have 7 (yes 7) new skylights that don't leak, and the price was reasonable. Probably not the cheapest option, but they really weren't that expensive either, all considered. And a 15 year labor warranty (I will add to this review if I have to use it) with a company that isn't going to disappear tomorrow (met them at the big trade show in town) or change their name like many construction companies do...it was worth it!"
"Let me start by saying that from the very first time I met Mike, I knew this was the company I was going to go with. I had estimates from multiple companies. Everything from a guy who drooled on my kitchen floor to guys who quoted me a price and then offered to lower it if I signed immediately. Mike did none of that. He was calm, non pressing, and patient with me. In fact, patient doesn’t even begin to describe what he put up with from me. I had a huge project. New roof, gutters, siding, lighting, and many other improvements. I changed my mind at least 5 times on what I wanted to do. Mike kept his cool and guided me towards exactly what I wanted when I didn’t know myself what I wanted! Finally the time came to actually start the work. The communication between Mike and his crew was fantastic. If I had a question (which was many) Mike made sure his team responded to me. They completed the job quickly, neatly, and professionally. They followed up with additional visits to make sure everything met with my expectations. My house went from a leaky broken down mess to the talk of the street! I apologize for the long review but I can’t say enough good things about this company. The price was very fair. Not the cheapest and not the highest, but definitely the best quality for the price! I have recommended them to my friends and neighbors. Thanks Third Generation for making my vision a reality! The top 3 pictures are before and the bottom pictures are after."
"3rd Generation did a great job on our whole house siding. I had quite a few quotes theirs was not the lowest or the highest, but I felt it was a fair price. I was most impressed with their attention to detail. They did a thorough job in the installation and spent a good amount of time with cleanup. Our home looks a lot better with the siding and the yard is perfect. I would recommend 3rd Generation Home Improvement highly."
