"The St. Andrew's Society erected this impressive memorial in 2011. The statue shows a Scottish family with their deerhound, just arriving in the U.S. One bas-relief shows 5 members of the St. Andrew's Society who signed the Declaration of Independence. This is the site of the historic Tun Tavern . It's the birthplace of the St. Andrew's Society and the U.S. Marine Corps. The memorial is free and open 24-7 at the corner of Front and Spruce Streets. It will be moved back to its spot near I-95 in 2028, after the new park is created."
"This is a nice little park within a larger park. It's quiet with benches. Love the sculpture of the Scots with their beautiful Scottish Deer Hound. It's a good spot to bring your lunch or to sit and read."
