Reviews
"I began to explain my health issue to the intake nurse/receptionist and she began to laugh in my face! Next, Dr. Richard B. Kasdan, MD takes over the interview and asks, "So what do you want from me? A doctor's note so that you don't have to work anymore?""
"Extremely rude and condescending, he did not even let me talk. He did absolutely nothing and didn't even look at my previous mri. When I realized this appointment was going south I said that I felt like I needed to see a different Doctor because he was not listening to me and went to leave. He he got extremely mad. He started going off and told me I was "not old enough to have back pain" and that I'm "making everything up" and "blaming my problems on other people" because I was the problem and not him... what? I immediately reported him to my insurance and found he even charged me a 40$ copay that I was not to have been charged. The women working in his office were just as rude. I honestly wondered if he has dementia or something because he was just off. I would suggest to stay away from this practice."
"A previous review gave Dr. Kasdan a negative review for his bedside manner. In my experience he was very polite to my family and I and he took his time talking with us about everything. His office also followed up on everything after the appointment. Very very smart man."
"I was referred to this doctor by my insurance after experiencing gross medical negligence in relation to a brain tumor with a neurosurgeon in the same UPMC hospital system. This doctor should have his license revoked and be placed under investigation for fraud. It's not merely that his PA is sarcastic and rude and he's not up-to-date with computers and rambles for a long time during the appointment about his being able to still work in his 70s while his colleagues have retired. That alone is bad enough. He's also just very bad at his job. He doesn't actively listen. He repeatedly interrupts, switches topics, and tries to go off on tangents away from a patient's concerns, especially if he's trying to make excuses and cover for a colleague. In fact, I wouldn't have seen him had I know that he was a close friend/colleague to the previous doctor who put me through and continues to put me through gross medical negligence. He doesn't know how to read an MRI scan that shows mass effect and tumor growth. He, as others have stated, tries to foist off symptoms on anxiety or mental health instead of doing the tests needed to rule out physical, structural issues related to the nerves and/or refer to physicians who can check vascular. He doesn't believe that thoracic outlet syndrome happens much in reality and refuses to listen when a patient who has been diagnosed with it and clearly has it on scans explains that there is a concern it might be part of the problem. I wish I was kidding. He also lies in his after-visit notes about a patient's health and downplays their symptoms, capabilities, etc."
"At the 1st appointment Dr. Kasdan took his time to explain what he wanted to do (mri) got that done went back into office right after test (same day) and it seemed like he was in a rush. Then all the other appointments I seen Ally, she always seemed to be in a hurry. My point is if they are going to send people for MRI's the same day and then have them come back to review it, then they need to schedule more time for that patient or inter twine them. And was just for my appointments. I took my daughter there for seizures-that was a mistake. Dr. Eric Altschuler seems to be a better doctor!!!"
