"I don’t know where to start. Just so grateful to have been referred to Dr. Fine after completing 5 months of chemo & knowing a double mastectomy + reconstruction was next due to a BRCA2 mutation. Originally consulted with the surgeons at the hospital where my chemo was and I just felt very OFF with them. I called a friend of the family who is a plastic surgeon and he told me Dr Fine is who he would refer his wife to, and helped get me a consultation that same week. I knew right away that he was the most qualified person to cut me open and give me a part of myself back after the hell I went through with breast cancer. I’ve never met anyone more “on it” than her in my life. From filling out paperwork to scheduling appointments and surgeries, she’s so fast and responsive. Finally, my results are miraculous. I remember seeing myself in the mirror after my double mastectomy and sobbing, convinced I’d never look the same. Well, that’s true. I don’t look the same. I look BETTER than the old me. I have heard horror stories from fellow survivors about bad reconstruction and I’ve been so blessed to be with the best—experienced, kind perfectionists.
