"Edit Update 4 weeks later: I want everyone to know that everytime I call or text Nurse Freida I get a call that same day back unless I tell them it is not urgent. I've been out of there almost a month and I have asked for medication adjustments several times and they are called into my pharmacy that day after a thoughtful discussion with staff. If you reach out to the people they tell you to they respond accordingly, even Laura will pass messages to those who need to respond to me, and she checks in with everyone who leaves there. I have never been ignored or felt like they forgot me after they were paid. I can't imagine the negative reviews of this place! I am still adjusting coming off Methadone (it's slower than some other drugs) but I passed a drug screen and job interview about a week ago and I start by end of month after background check comes through! This is a miracle if you knew what I came into ARD like, shivering sick and sweating taking my methadone as prescribed! It was awful! Thank you again to everyone at ARD for making me feel so happy and taken care of. I will cry tears of happiness whenever I think about it! You took away 6 years of shivering cold sweats, job losses, stress, and suffering from me overnight. Miracle Workers. All of them. Period. Dr. Julia Aharanov is a magician as an anesthesiologist, and her Director Laura Solomon is a GEM! -------- This place is a miracle machine! We drove here from Pennsylvania, but well worth it. Thank you so much to Laura and Dr. Aharanov for the check ins and treatments. Everything was great I never felt alone. All the amazing nurses day and night there. I felt nothing but love and compassion while I was there. Thank you to everyone, I won't remember everyones names but Pat, Freida, Mark, Aliyah, and Daisha who walked me around a lot. Getting up and walking helps recovery faster even though it's hard when you feel so heavy after that Battle you slept through. I was seen this week and it's now Sunday and I'm able to walk Around without assistance and my stomach wanted actual food today. They got me off of 6 years of 108mgs of methadone daily (highest was 135 and 108 was as low as I could get.) and I was getting so sick because I wouldn't increase my dosage. I get better every day. You have to deal with some post acute withdrawal symptoms like restless legs, and trouble sleeping but they give you everything you need to treat those things and sleep better until your body adjusts. Being able to sleep through the few hours of withdrawal under IV sedation instead of trying to detox cold turkey at home for 7 to 14 days is a godsend! I would gladly send anyone here for treatment. It was incredible and I felt the love. Seriously! Thank you! Also I recommend the ketamine infusion it gave me hours of feeling much better, and seems to have lasted several weeks after the initial infusion keeping any depression or anxiety at bay. It was a really nice road trip with my father and son too, especially the way back getting good chills to music again after 6 years subdued by methadone. I was so sick, I was unable to drive myself there. I feel much better now. Thanks again to the entire staff. I'm sorry those names I forgot. You are all miracle workers!"
"I was there in June for methadone. It’s a hard experience, but it is worth it. You won’t feel the greatest afterwards but tough it out and you’ll be fine and slowly recover. The staff and Dr was amazing there. They care about your recovery as your there, and when you leave."
"I went in June for opiate addiction. Let's start with the actual treatment. One word. BRUTAL. I've been around the block as they say, I've gone to several different rehabs. This hurt. A lot. Like I feel bad for my fiancee (Hannah) that I said this was a good option. Yes, we got onto vivitrol in 4 days, but to say we were "detoxed" when we left is a joke. We spent an extra 12 days at home more or less disabled, still affected by anesthetic (we made terrible life choices, while incapable of self care), and in more pain than any other detox I've been through. The induction involves being injected with naltraxone while under anesthesia. I remember waking up when this was done. I remember throwing up on my bed, asking to use the bathroom, and being told to poop myself. I wouldn't wish this on an enemy. Like I said, BRUTAL. The most relieving part was the ketamine treatment. The short version was the most welcome relief anyone could ask for. They offer a longer course treatment for an additional fee. My mom was leaning towards getting me and my fiancee the longer course of it, seeing as we both (myself, and my fiancee particularly so) qualify due to multiple neurodivergencies, emotional and mental health disorders. My fiancee recalls Dr. A, very much so, suggesting that she receive this treatment. But Laura emphasized that it was an additional (supposedly covered by insurance in-full) 500$ and unnecessary. I can only guess this was because during our intake, I called her out on several points of misinformation and had to go so far as calling my mother to listen in on the intake process. Be careful with her. She's sadistic.. Next, Financials. I'm uninsured, so I had to pay out of pocket. My fiancee is insured and got reimbursed "in full." She was issued a check for less than 2k out of the (more than) 9k because the treatment center agrees to take less than 2k. To be clear, we still had to pay 9k+ and did not receive a refund for the extra 7k+. As far as insurance knows, it was covered in full because they claim to have only charged us 2k. The paperwork we signed says the treatment center won't issue a refund. Something tells me they didn't even try to negotiate. Not their money. Not their problem. Don't do it. There are better options. All of them are better options.. Edit (in response to Laura) Unfortunately for me, it is apparent that it was insignificant enough to forget, but it is not true that there was no correspondence from me post-treatment. I called (multiple times) to share concerns and ask questions regarding medications, vivitrol information (such as the vast reaction symptoms), and prevalent yet unforseen/minimized aftercare details. I called so many times, I consider Ben a besty. Black tea and pomegranate juice sort of helps. Thankfully, as we learned in the facility, ketamine offers large amount of relief and if it weren't for the help of local friends willing to get us both ketamine and stuff from the pharmacy, we would have definitely relapsed. Laura- insurance has notified Hannah that her blue cross blue shield coverage (which you specified by name to fully cover treatment) will only allow for 2k in coverage for this type of treatment. You told us that her treatment would be fully covered, and from what was disclosed to her insurance, it was - 2k was the full cost. So she got a check in the mail, reimbursing her (hypothetically "in full") approximately 2k. However, there is a clear clause in our contractual agreement that you had us both sign: that there will be absolutely no refunds for any extravagant treatment charges. That, as stated in my review above, is most of the treatment cost of more than 7k. But I understand you see it necessary to split hairs here. Edit 2: response to Laura's additional response I want to respond to your further response, but there's a character limit. Ill write a second one after we talk. I have some stuff to say to your edits but I want to circle up about financial before I do. I'd love to be able to say we were reimbursed. I'm really not trying to be unfair here."
