"I do not recommend coming to this practice. Especially after reading the responses to the reviews. Not once did the person who responds to the reviews apologize for a negative review, instead they gaslighted the reviewer. Most places when you submit a review apologize if you aren’t happy with their services. I had to cancel an appointment in June due to a family emergency with someone who I am a caretaker for. This person was in the hospital for an extended stay. The person who I canceled with asked why I was canceling and I said “a personal reason.” It wasn’t his business what happened in my family. He asked to Know the personal reason, and I explained it was none of his business. This person would continuously call me. Sometimes the call would go to voicemail sometimes I would answer. I explained I would not be returning to their practice after the near daily phone calls. The doctor didn’t even seem concerned with my issues, so I’m not sure why I was getting harassed by this office worker to have this last done when everything else came back fine. Today I received a missed certified letter from the post office from Northtown cardiology. I’m assuming they are dismissing me from the practice and I’m glad. I’m not sure why people would continue to go here for care when there are many other qualified cardiologist in the area who have a better bedside manner. You would think the owner would want to address the issues that come up in the reviews instead of blasting their former patients."
"Had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Ribbeck this week. What a great doctor she is. She’s very honest, compassionate and thorough . Highly educated as I have a rare condition that over the last 20 years I thought I knew everything about it. She impressed me with knowledge on my condition that even I didn’t know. I did not feel rushed at all, and she listened intensely. The entire staff always makes me feel welcome and important from the people who I see first, the receptionist, to the medical assistance, giving me my tests as well as the PAs and doctors. Honest truth; I look forward to coming to this practice as I know I am in good hands. Keep up the good work and you got a very happy patient here."
"the assistant jamar made me feel welcome and appreciated here! appreciated having someone take the time to be kind and take their time, i usually don't leave reviews places but he was exceptional."
"Received a discharge letter because I "no showed" during a blizzard, as well as an appt they made without my permission. Was supposed to have an appt on 6/28, they called me fewer than 24 hours prior to cancel because they were "overbooked, and the system cancelled my appt." What is this, American Airlines? The discharge letter is dated 6/28, the day I was supposed to be seen. Dr. Ribbeck is a joke. A cold, rude woman. A cardiologist that uses an electronic cuff that gives a reading of 138/90, yet when manually taken my BP was 90/58. Imagine if they had treated me for that supposed high blood pressure? And they would have, had I not said that I have NEVER had such a high blood pressure. Of course, Edward the PSR is the only one who can answer the phone, no manager or supervisor to speak of. Not wasting my time trying to hunt down a manager, filed a formal grievance with my insurance company. The cowards also deactivated my portal, good news is, I can see my appointment history myself regardless. Incompetent place when calling on behalf of both my patients and myself. If you call from a providers office within 20 minutes of the phones turning off, they'll max out your hold time and send you to an answering service, yet they claim to care about patients in an ethical way. Yeah, I do feel entitled to not have my blood pressure taken incorrectly at a CARDIOLOGIST. You only need to meet Dr. Ribbeck one time to get the impression that she does not care about you if she doesn't deem your symptoms severe enough. And your inability to read is showing: it was a BLIZZARD. And I did call that day. You can lie about your records until the cows come home, I know the truth."
"This practice called me all winter long trying to get me to make an appointment. For what, exactly, was never clear. I hadn’t been in the office for two years because I had no further issues. I kept explaining that we live in Florida in the winter months and I was not available to schedule an appointment nor did I need one. They sent a REGISTERED letter to our home to tell me I was discharged from their practice. Totally confused. I guess if they summon you, you’d better find your way there no matter where you are in the world! Very aggressive practice. Even after I explained I live in Florida, they called often before sending the registered mail. It’s really not a great way to keep people endeared to your practice. I think they owe me an apology."
