"Heard only good things about JIS Orthopedics. The staff were great. Unfortunately, my experience so far has not been good. I went in the first time for hip and knee. I have back and neck pain also but this visit was mainly my hip. After the Dr I saw reviewed my X-rays, he said my problem was coming from my back. Now, my husband and I looked at each other in question and said that my PT was pretty sure it was my hip. And the hip bothers me more. But the Dr said I needed to see a back Dr. did not offer to give me a shot for the pain. I waited a month, saw the back Dr. looked at my X-rays, they did not take any more X-rays, the first time they did. And I did take my original cd of my X-rays. He said my hip was almost bone on bone. The problem was not my back. He completely disagreed with the hip Dr. I, of course, have a lot of arthritis. And maybe PT would help. And really we were left at that. Go back and see hip dr or what? I’m thankful for the girl at the desk who was very considerate as my emotions were getting the best of me. I was upset. So I will go back and try an injection in my hip and go from there. I don’t know that my age of 79 has anything to do with my treatment or not, but for the record…I am an active woman. I do water aerobics three times a week, Zumba, silver sneakers and did yoga till I no longer could the end of last year. I am small and weigh 117 pounds. Just so you understand I’m not some one who has not tried to take care of my self my entire life. I’m sorry I have to be wring this, but this is what I have experienced so far. And maybe this is par for the course. I’m not expecting every one of my pains to be fixed but I’d like at least some advice if no surgery should be done. Thank you for your time Charlotte Carter"
