"Eye doctor was great and personable but to be honest everyone else working there was miserable. I’ve worked in customer service for many years, we all have bad days, but this gave me the impression that there’s major flaws and resentment within the company. Front desk was so rude and unwelcoming that I felt awkward. I scheduled an appointment way in advance and arrived 15 mins prior to my appointment as requested, paperwork took five mins to do, eye exam was quick too and doctor was friendly. I felt like she listened to me and cared about my concerns, but everything else was so uncomfortable and honestly rude. I wanted to pick out new frames and although there weren’t any other customers I felt like I was inconveniencing them just by being in their presence. I found what I wanted and let someone know and it literally took 30 minutes for someone to help me, yet they weren’t busy and I had my script. Idk what happened, seemed like the staff were just chatting and taking their time. So someone comes to help me, they have my script and it’s a nightmare. I sat for another 45 minutes without her explaining to me why. I just felt like a burden. I have a lot of patience for IT issues, or something not working or everyone behind schedule, or even one person having a bad day, but I do not have patience for blatant rudeness. My low rating is because of the absolute negativity radiating through the place. I really thought maybe I was just there on a bad day, but when I went to pick up my new glasses it was the same, everyone was just super rude for no reason. I didn’t show up 5 mins to closing, I walked in with basic human friendliness, I wasn’t on a phone call or chewing gum lol I literally don’t know what I could’ve done wrong but they made me feel like I was a terrible person. So yeah, not gonna ever go back there. This location is super close to me but I’d rather drive back 35 minutes in 376 traffic to my old Greenfield eye doctor where they treat everyone with kindness. Also, they have a really boring, outdated selection of eyeglasses but maybe the experience made me feel jaded."
"Waited several months to get my daughter in for a follow up eye appt then was called the week of her appt to reschedule due to the doctor being out. I get it things come up but I was given one day and one time that day. Or forced to wait over a month for a new one. I explained my schedule is too chaotic to switch like that and I wanted to get her in since she’s way over due. The day and time she gave me does not work as my child has a prior commitment and I can’t just rearrange my work schedule either. When I asked her to please check with the doctor I got attitude and was asked if I wanted to cancel. I did not realize there was only one doctor and if the doctor needed to rearrange their schedule why they are not more accommodating for their inconvenience. Now I will be forced to wait again to switch establishments to be a new patient elsewhere. I’m not sure when healthcare decided to decline in patient care but this is a terrible."
"I received an eye exam. Asked when Dr. Kressley gave me my script why there was only one as last time I had two - nearsighted and far sighted. She said “you’d can wear these for both.” U was confused but I’m not the professional. Got home and noticed the script was very different than my last. I googled that they can be written different ways so again chose to trust the doctor. I ordered glasses from the same place I’ve used since 2015 without a single incident. Got them and can’t see close or far with them. Far is worse than without glasses. I called the office and was told that the script was just written differently and was very close to my previous script. I called back later to ask where they got my previous script and was told they didn’t have it they were just guessing. Also told there is only one doctor in the Sewickley Group, so I’d have to go to McKees Rocks if I wanted to see someone else, and that they are schedule well out (which I believe since I waited months for this appt). I then, as the person who actually DOES have my old script) went online and converted the SEG script to the other notation method. It still is nowhere near my old script. Of course the Eye Group tried to blame the maker of the glasses, but I can see the scripts and I’m not an idiot. Now I need to either take two time off work to drive to sewickley to both have them check my glasses (preventing me from returning them in the time frame) and to schedule a whole other eye exam and hope for the best w a doctor who didn’t listen to me the first time, or wait two years and try again somewhere else when my insurance will cover the exam. This is a professional operation?"
