"Underrated gem! You can tell they actually take care of their animals and staff is awesome"
"AMAZING KEEPERS AND GIFT SHOP STAFF!!! One of the most important thing about animal zoos is there apparent care for the animals or their ignorance. Go up to almost any staff member at Indian creek zoo and they can tell you about animal animal including their care, their history, whether or not they were a rescue, as well as their own personal relationships with the animals. ALL of the animals are happy active and engaged and it’s very clear they are getting cognitive and physical enrichment daily. In a world filled with such division and hate it is so refreshing to come together with people who just love animals and have dedicated their lives to caring for them. The purity and kindness of these creatures is one thing humanity doesn’t have a hard time agreeing with."
"We have always loved the laid back atmosphere, not too crowded walk paths and the kids love to get to feed the deer, goats, and camels. Nice shaded small zoo for a day out the house with the kids."
"This small little zoo looks eerie from the outside, but once you get inside it’s an adorable little zoo. There are many animal encounters that you can do, and they’re not even that expensive! Tickets are pretty cheap, the gift shop is adorable, and you can feed some animals with carrots! The employees are very nice and the animals are very friendly. They have cool animals, but they don’t currently have giraffes or zebras although they used to. We did the sloth encounter and they have 5 sloths total, you get to feed 4, and 1 of them you can pet. The employee was very nice and knows what he’s doing. They lead you into the cages where the employees are allowed. Forewarning- The sloth encounters are very hot and humid because they have to keep the sloths in a natural feeling environment. I would totally come back again and I highly recommend this zoo."
"We heard some really great things about this zoo, so we finally visited, and we loved it! It reminds us a lot of the places we visited when we went to Miami! We love supporting small Zoos like this, and they have many unique animals like a capybara, sloths, and monkeys! We will visit here again really soon."
