"Wow. Walked in here on a Saturday morning to a customer and employee swearing and threatening each other. Despite my hesitation, I approached the counter and ordered a glazed donut. An employee (not the one in the argument) took my order, rang it up on the register, and I paid. After I finished paying, he informed me that they are out of glazed donuts! But I just paid for a glazed donut! Ughhhh."
"We were here on Father's day morning. Staff was extremely helpful, cheerful and efficient. My husband's sandwich was great for the price. I only drink decaf and was pleased that most coffee could be made to my needs."
"When visiting the USA, it's always an experience to go to Dunkin. Not sure what was up on this day. It was 9am and the place looked like it had been cleaned out. No donuts, no bottled drinks, no sugar packets and a line up out the door. It was crazy to see. But I will say, the staff was working hard and they delivered our drinks with a friendly smile. This was our first visit to Pittsburgh and this was not the first place that didn't seem ready for the breakfast rush. Is that normal all over the city?"
"The atmosphere was nice the cashier was very friendly and polite. Took our order fast and efficiently. The whole staff was friendly, polite and fast. The Goodyear’s nice and hot. It was a beautiful day so we ate outside"
"Staffing Issues!!! I was in the downtown Pittsburgh area for five days during a conference at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. I was looking for a Coffee Place that opened early in the morning. Since Starbucks closed in the Omni Hotel during the pandemic, there are few options in the area that open early. Many of the coffee shops open later in the morning or are several blocks away. The morning I went to this location it didn't open on time. The young lady on staff said that they were short-staffed. I didn't get my coffee for almost 30 minutes as the lineup hard formed while I waited and since they were short-staffed, it took a while to make my coffee order. On the second day, they opened on time and were again short-staffed so they could make certain foods. On my third and fourth day went to a Starbucks in the opposite direction about 10 minutes from my hotel. On my fifth day, I decided to give this Dunkin' another shot but again they had a massive lineup, and issues with a printer and of course, they were short-staffed again. I will give some credit to the staff who had to endure the issues that they faced, the long lines and the customers who complained. The coffee itself when I got my orders was standard Dunkin' quality, so that was good. If you're staying in the block of hotels near Melon Square, be cautious and hopefully, you don't experience the same issues I experienced at this Dunkin' location."
