Reviews
"Great staff an Ms. G was the best! The rest of my review I must preface with the fact I’m from NE Upstate NY (so maybe things got lost in translation) I LOVE fried oysters and what I got here is NOT what I was expecting. Their “original” oysters was more like a round fried stuffing cake w a tiny oyster hidden in the middle. The fried fish had a great crisp but the texture of the cod was underwhelming. My cocktail wasn’t very strong at all. Glad we tried it but we’ll venture a different place next time."
"This place is our new home away from home! Wonderful, thoughtful and hard working people take care of you, the food is just mouth watering, and history surrounds you. Absolutely hands down the best fish and chips I have ever eaten! The staff truly enjoys their time here with you. They love this place just as much as their loyal customers. My husband and I will return as often as we can make it to Pittsburgh! Oh, and don’t forget the O. G. Oyster."
"Disgusting. I almost eat sharp piece of shell. Oysters don’t look fresh and taste not good. Terrible. I feel sick"
"This place has the coolest environment that you can think of with 150 years of history and super cool areas. Tons of super vintage athletic signs and stuff on the wall super cool structural areas. The food itself is a little less than desirable. I’ve never experienced oysters served out of a disposable ramikan cup, however I m not the most established or sophisticated guy when it come to this type of food. I heard the fish was bomb but didn’t try it. I should have ! Staff was friendly and the spot itself was cool."
