"Been donating here for a while, had general concerns last few times that the location seemed understaffed and unfriendly. Sent feedback repeatedly to Inova Blood Donor services with no response. Today was the final straw, where they were unable to hit the vein in my wife's arm, got a supervisor, tried again repeatedly causing significant bruising, and then told her that her body 'didn't want to donate today'. After two decades of donating, guess I'm done now, because Inova doesn't seem to care or ensure their staff has proper support and training."

"I reviewed and completed all of the paperwork online. I made sure that I was eligible. I scheduled an appointment. I completed my Quick Pass the day of my scheduled appointment and got the confirmation email. I drove 25 minutes to get there after work. They asked me if I ever had cancer, which was asked and answered when I completed the Quick Pass. Then they said I couldn't donate because I had surgery for cancer (completely cured, no chemo, no radiation) six months ago. Trying to be helpful and it was a complete waste of time."

"I have donated blood through Inova 3 times so far, and have always had good experiences. The phlebotomists always do a good job, and they are very friendly! They also give away lots of free stuff like t-shirts and sweaters! They have lot of drinks and snacks for after you donate, too, and the waiting area and donation area are both very comfortable! Last picture is of my needle site on my arm a day after donation- no bruising whatsoever!"
