"I received a random bill for $500 through text message last week from them. I thought it was a phishing scam at first but went to check if it was a real number. After research I see that many people have been though this scam. While not a phishing attack this is definitely a scam. They will hear from my lawyer. Then they don’t even have to courtesy to send a letter or call like a normal business looking for payment"

"Received a bill dated June of 2021 (at the time of writing this review it is July 2024) and called to figure out why I was receiving a bill for something 3 years ago. I always pay my bills when I get them, and there was no previous correspondence during all this time. I called the billing department and approached the conversation with good-natured curiosity. This eventually turned into frustration because the employee I spoke to was incredibly rude and condescending the whole time. She treated me like a delinquent even though I just wanted to know what was going on. And based on other reviews it seems like I'm not the only person who has had an experience like this. This whole event is baffling- would not recommend."

"This company is a total scam and someone needs to investigate them. I think we should all call the news to complain. In fact, I'm calling 7 on your side. Also reaching out to a lawyer. They billed my insurance $3,500 for 2 covid test and then still sent me a bill for $1,379 three years later. I wrote back to them and told them my insurance should have covered the payment and sent them my insurance information. Never heard back from anyone and now I received a collection letter. What a ripoff. No one should use this company, they are scamming innocent Americans."

"I am having the same issue as everyone else with covid test costing over 500 dollars, almost 3 years later and a collections account has been harming my credit now for 3 months. After reaching out to the collections agency (Sa-vit) they provided me with a letter and file with my eob. What they sent to me showed that they and this lab are very clearly in the wrong. They are trying to say I was sent a check from my insurance when I never was to hopefully get themselves double paid. “THERE IS NO MEMBER COST-SHARE FOR COVID-19 VACCINE OR : DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES RENDERED BY OUT-OF-NETWORK PROVIDERS. THE SUBSCRIBER RESPONSIBILITY DISPLAYED ON THE EOB IS ALSO WAIVED. THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PROHIBITS BALANCE BILLING FOR COVID-19 VACCINES AND PAYMENT IS NOT SUBJECT TO NEGOTIATION.” This is a direct quote from the file I received. Stating the patient’s responsibility is waived and the Federal Government prohibits billing for covid-19 testing and vaccines. I have given the collections agency 2 weeks to remove this fraudulent account from my reports otherwise I will be following through with legal action. After seeing this company is also complicit in this scamming behavior I will be including them in the lawsuit I have been building. I will happily reach out to all others I see with similar reviews as mine and share how I am going about this legal battle and see if they would like to join. It is disgusting a medical office has enabled such sneaky behavior. $500 dollars is a lot of money and when you start adding it up after seeing how many people they have done this to I can’t imagine the kind of money they have already made from this scam. Such a great thing to do, charge people hundreds of dollars for a covid test while in a pandemic causing people to no longer trust medical offices and get tested creating the pandemic to worsen. What a joke of a company this is. Since i noticed the collections account 3 months ago I have been actively working to fix this and after reviewing the files I was sent, this company and the collections agency shot themselves in the foot. Providing me with the proof and statements I needed as evidence in a legal case to show these companies are fraudulent and trying to scam multiple consumers. Update. I have sent an email and have not received any response. It seems this company is just telling everyone to email them just for them to ignore them further. If this is not removed off my credit report by August 1st I will be following through with my lawsuit and both this company and Sa-vit collection agency should expect to hear from my lawyer. Utterly ridiculous for doctor offices to so clearly be scamming almost all their patients."

"I had some tests ordered by my doctor that were done by Genesis Lab. However, after the tests, Genesis Lab will not cooperate with my health insurance to process the claim. It's been at least four months now. I've reached out to Genesis Lab and the billing dept. was very unwilling to work with me and rushed me off the phone. My insurance company has contacted Genesis Lab multiple times, by phone, mail, and fax and Genesis Lab will not respond nor will they process my claim. I feel they are ignoring my claim. Thankfully they haven't taken me to collections for a problem that they are causing me. I will continue to reach out to Genesis Lab again, but I think I will need to go to the Better Business Bureau. Hopefully Genesis Lab will listen to me then and process my claim."
