Located on the main campus of the Cleveland Clinic, our Department of Allergy and Clinical Immunology is among the largest in the United States, dedicated to excellence in patient care, research, education, and advocacy. With the closure of E. 100th Street and the Cole Eye entrance, we continue to provide vital services while adhering to the latest visitation and COVID-19 guidelines.
Services:
Our department specializes in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of allergic and immunologic disorders for both adults and children. These conditions include, but are not limited to:
- Asthma
- Food allergies
- Atopic dermatitis (eczema)
- Year-round and seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
- Anaphylaxis
- Sinusitis
- Angioedema (swelling)
- Urticaria (hives)

We also address complex and rare conditions such as severe asthma, systemic mast cell disorders (e.g., mastocytosis), resistant-to-treat urticaria, and C1 inhibitor deficiency syndromes. The Respiratory Institute offers continuing medical education (CME) courses approved by the AMA, Ohio Nurses Association, and Ohio Respiratory Care Board. These courses are designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, and respiratory therapists.
