"We had a great meal. The lovely new owners are there serving and cooking. It’s quick, really good food and close to Roaming Shores. The salmon was recommend and the potatoes were a past generation recipe. All was delicious."

"The place is quaint and the FOOD IS AMAZING. It smelled so good from the smoker around back We had the Artichoke dip that was homemade and delicious. I had the Pulled Pork and it was sooooo good along with the fresh cut fries and a great homemade bbq sauce. Generous portion and well worth it. My wife had the Nashville Chicken-tenders and man did they taste AMAZING. Hand breaded and oh so good. I stole some and I would def get both these meals again. We can’t wait to go back!"

"I drove out from Mentor to celebrate a friend's birthday. Nobody in our group had been here, but we gave it a go. When we arrived we were told we can choose any table, check the menu out and come up to the bar and order drinks and food when ready. Now I read a review after the fact that someone didn't like that, but personally I thought this was a great idea. We aren't waiting forever at a table if a server is busy, we can sit at the table and grab away and order when ever not feeling rushed either (things I see people complain about all the time). It may not work for everyone but think about it....places are understaffed everywhere these days. This let's somewhere run more efficiently and I appreciated it. When it came time to order, all four of us decided to be bold and try to chef's whim - appetizer, entree and dessert all up to the chef. Chef Nick came out and chatted with the table inquiring about dietary restrictions and personal preferences to take into account when preparing a meal. Having four different people, we had a few allergies and personal preferences we wanted to make sure we're addressed and he noted all to begin creating a meal...scratch that..... experience. Food time! I'm thinking one or two things shareable for a group of 4, but out came a large unique salad, lobster ravioli AND a homemade pot pie that was so delicious. Definitely enough for us all. Our main entree included steaks cooked to perfection with a potato and corn souffle and ended the evening with an"adult HoHo cake" and a fun experience of Fireball lit up to caramelize the cake. All the food picked had combinations together that created a burst of flavor in your mouth. Each portion came out and we were explained what everything was. And nothing disappointed. Chef Nick did a great job keeping our personal preferences in mind and delivered an incredible experience. Living further away will not stop me from returning and sharing this experience with others. "Simply awesome! Chef Nick has done it again! Completely transformed this old local dive bar into a new, very cool, lodge style restaurant/bar.
