"One of the worst experiences I've had trying to resolve a medical bill. It was not a large amount but they got the patient name spelled wrong so my insurance won't pay it. Callng many times to different numbers is not successful in correcting the patient name. Now they are threatening to send me to collections. Wonderful."
"Apparently they refuse to bill "out of state" medicaid. Billed us $1200 for 2 x-rays and refused to bill out insurance even though the other 2 bills we received from the ER visit (from other services)were promptly paid. We were actively working with Alaska emergency medical on the bill when we received a notice from collections and we're forced to pay for a "service" that our insurance would have paid at 100% had they been billed! If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in the Providence ER please do yourself a favor and confirm that whoever is seeing you can bill your insurance. It's a sad state of affairs when companies like this area allowed to see patients in an ER setting. This company shouldn't be allowed to operate."
"Avoid at all costs. Would rather been seen anywhere but here. If negative stars were possible I’d rate well below zero. It’s a shame when the good work medical staff preform are underwritten by piss poor admin & billing particularly. After a severely prolonged illness, at onset of rona, beginning with ER trip, losing business & 100% of income, I’m placed in collection and apparently no recourse other than dealing with 3rd party collection office for more $$$. Out of 23 providers over 3 months, the 2 “individual entities” within providence sent zero bills (despite what they said, I received none in my 2.5” thick binder of EOB’s and statements from providers) or reached out in any way, unlike the other providers. The second entity was able to take payment directly over the phone and resolve the collections placement issue but apparently this company is unable and not willing to work with patient in that capacity. Should you use this facility, or unfortunately sent there, please be aware the docs/nurses do have you’re health in mind but the “emergency medical associates” do not care causing further stress & aggravation. Disgusted with stonewall."
"Helen C. Adams was my emergency room physician. I visited emergency room because of prolong and radiating left chest pain. I told her multiple times that my visit is not because of a heart attack but because of a radiating pain that comes in and goes away. I told her that I within last to weeks blood work done and I am perfectly fine as it relates to heart. She started to tell me that a much better looking guy with a six pack had a heart attack earlier and I am somehow I am similar to this random person. Then she went on to say that it will be her liability that if she won't do the blood work somehow I will hold her liable for my symptoms that absolutely have nothing to do with a cardiac issues. She refused to help me for the primary reason for my visit. At the end of the visit, she told me that she can't help me because it was not her job to do it so I left the emergency room with the same pain that I came with. Neatless to say, I was shocked that I was not being helped. Helen C. Adams you need a lot more learning in treating patients in complaint presented to you and not invest stories just to fit your half fast invented narrative. Naturally, I will never see again for any medical treatment. Your comments about some other random guy were also inappropriate and you talking about your liability insurance policy was very weird to me as well. I felt you were not concerned at all about treating me."
