Reviews of Hops Hallmark Shop
"friendly, kind service. Great selection of variety of products"
"TLDR: Got “banned” because they thought I stole, because I didn’t end up buying anything. I definitely didn’t and the cameras (if they cared to check) would prove that. I was completely dumbfounded by my whole experience while there. - I literally go there once a year to buy my nana those funny signs they have. They didn’t have a very good selection, this year, but I picked up something that I thought I might want (not to impulse buy and to see if there’s anything else) I walked around a bit, perusing. Found a book I thought was cute, checked to see if Barnes n Noble had it tho since I have a gift card there. They did so I put it back on the shelf. (While looking at the book, one of the workers comes over and is kinda rude to some kid looking and touching what looks like stuffed animals, tho I didn’t pay much attention. He rudely told the kid to stop touching everything, that they have expensive stuff there) Anyways I found the signs I was actually there looking for, read them all…none of them were good…and after him talking to the kid like that I was already put off. I decided I’d find her a gift somewhere else. So I walked over to the sign stand, where I grabbed the first one from that I’d been carrying around the store and hung it back up. My brother gets one of the wooden angels for my mom every year so before I left I went to go see those. They had a few new ones and I texted him to make sure he was still getting her one. I started to leave and the same worker from before was cutting up boxes almost in the middle of the walkway and it took me a second to process that so I stopped n figured I’d walk around him on the other side of the table. My hands were in my hoodie pockets, cus it’s winter and that’s sus apparently. Anyways I smile all awkward cus I think I just walked in this guys way n he goes “what’s in your pockets”. Totally out of left field in my mind, was not expecting that at all. I pull my hands out and pat my hoodie pocket to show him it’s flat and say “it’s empty I have nothing”. Dude the anxiety rush. I was so confused. He comes up and accuses me of stealing, asks me what I have in my purse (it’s like fairly small like 8x8, and on the off chance that guy is reading this, I literally had my ~7x4 wallet and a folded up reusable bag in there jic I bought something) I tell him “nothing” and pull it in front of me and one of the small pockets is open, so he freakin reaches inside!!! Bro what, no. Literally I had receipts and my airpods case in there. He then tried to grab for the bigger pouch zipper and open it, and I told him no and moved a little so he couldn’t. I’m not letting him search my bag. I’m sorry I didn’t like your selection and didn’t want anything, that doesn’t mean I stole. I told him to check the cameras and he took his phone out n took a picture of me n told me he would and that I was banned. Dude I hope he does and sees what really happened."
"Very rude owners and employees at the dimond mall location. My mother was with my 4 year old sister, who was throwing a tantrum outside the store, and heading towards the mall exit. Carter went outside his store to go tell my family that he was calling security because they were being too loud and needed to leave. Doesn’t sound very hallmark spirit to me nor family friendly. When I went into the store to ask him his name he tried to tell me he said he was concerned because he didn’t know if she was related or needed help. Yet he let them leave together despite his concern of her needing help to involve security."
"Lots of pretty things. Great decor. Cards for all occasions. Prices are lil high for me though"
