"Beware, crooks!!! I bought an emerald cut pair of emerald earrings. I asked several time is this lab grown... he assured me the earrings were real, not lab grown. I asked if he had authentication paper, oh yes, yes. Something kept nagging me they were too perfect... too clear... I had to ask again for paperwork. He said go look at the Alexananderit while he filled out the paperwork. What I actually got was a postcard, handwritten saying emerald earrings, silver .925. I paid $500 for fake jewelry. I'm sick about it.please stay away from these crooks!!!"

"At our stop at Skagway during my Royal Caribbean cruise, I bought tanzanite earrings in the Skagway Jewelry Company store. When I arrived home, I found out that one of the stones was not in earring, but loose. I immediately sent an e-mail to the store but nobody answered; I sent another one, also no answer. I called the store and the sales person told me he would think about the situation. He told me he would call me back but never did. I sent earrings back for an exchange but they sent it to me back to me, not even opening the parcel. I went to a local jeweler and he told me how much will a repair will cost and said that this earring did not even have a real tanzanite stone. Be careful when you buy anything from this store."

"SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Advertisement in their window offered a "free charm". My fiance went inside to inquire, and was given the runaround, being told she "didn't need to buy anything", but the sales clerk would not give her the charm. He said he would wait for her to walk back to the cruise ship to get her credit card so she could buy something first. When we went back to confront the clerk, he said that "it's only free with a coupon", and directed me to the sign in the front window. He peeled a piece of tape off the words "With Coupon" and said "See, you need a coupon". As we went to leave he replaced the tape over the words. STAY AWAY!"
