"Maintenance and property manager kinda repairs items like heat, fridge, leaking pipe causing it to rain inside the building. Took them seven tries and year and half later to fix my heat. "If that don't fix it, give us a call" I usually like to have it repaired the first time you visit and do your walk through inspection."
"I just want you to know that I had great hope for this company. I was pregnant when we first moved in and thought that this would be a good place to start our family. I was there for an entire year and decided we wanted to do month to month (which took a while to get to amanda bc her assistant did not give her the message apparently) so that we could find a bigger place. They allowed that but then also didn’t update it with us on the app with how to actually pay the rent increase. I called the office and Amanda’s “assistant”, Andrew told me that I should wait to pay the rent until they updated it on the app, I called for a follow up the next couple of days and he then tells me it will be updated soon and he’d let amanda know. Why when it updated on the app, Im being charged for a late fee. I asked to talk to amanda and got the run around, she’s in “meetings” every second of the day and she’s get back to me, again no communication from amanda. My husband then says he will come to the office and guess what? Amanda gets on the phone and is giving him the run around as well. Still doesn’t call me even though i’m the one who asked for a callback. I’m sure this is to avoid my husband actually coming to their office to talk to them in person. I then call again and I get the assistant, I tell him that i no longer want to speak to him because it is getting me no where but “i’ll tell amanda” so I’m over them playing the middle man. I then text amanda about what happens and I got no answer. No one held accountability at all. If you try to move out during your month to month they will not prorate your rent either you will be paying the whole month and if there is something that needs to be fixed they will send whoever to come “fix” it. This company will push a lot of things under the rug so just check the reviews when you rent with them and see why they only have 3 stars. They should probably have 1 star to be fair."
"Amazing Amazing amazing! Wow these guys…. Let me tell you what! Most property mgmt companies are lame and not professional especially in Alaska. These guys have gone out of their way to make sure my move was easy and have been just a call or text away and took care of me right away. If you’re going to list your property USE THESE GUYS! Special props to Brandon!"
"My property manager kyrsten Fischer is A1 in my book. She is very patient and understanding especially during the pandemic. A few times I thought I would be evicted because rental assistance was taking forever. Also the maintenance crew is good. I've been renting from this place since 2017 I only had to call maintenance maybe twice And every time they was on it got the job done."
"I had a negative experience working with Real Estate Solutions in Eagle River. Perhaps the property managers are more attentive in Anchorage, closer to their main office. However, living in Eagle River I experienced a pattern of unorganized, forgetful and unreliable service from our property manager. Myself and other tenants had a called the property manager several times to explain the various problems in our apartment when we experienced a high influx of problematic tenants which lead to domestic violence, broken down vehicles in the parking lot, trash in front of the apartment and dog waste in the parking lot. I was frequently told that things would be taken care of "tomorrow" that the manager would be in Eagle River to check things out/talk to tenants/tow abandon vehicles, and we never that level of follow through. While I don't expect problems to be fixed in an instant, I do expect open communication and honesty instead of being constantly misinformed. A pattern of contacting the manager, being told that something would happen, and then falling short of those expectations became the norm. This pattern continued well after we moved out of the property. Upon moving out of the apartment due to the violence of our upstairs neighbors, we sent the property manager two notices to vacate. (one from each tenant who lived in the apartment) Weeks later as we prepared to move we contacted by the manager and told that we hadn't submitted the notice to vacate. Those emails were sent again, with the original date to clarify that they had in fact been sent. The property manager did not show up to our scheduled appointment to do the final walk through of the apartment. Once the appointment was rescheduled the manager arrived 20 minutes late to the appointment. Upon moving out we were personally informed that our security deposit would be mailed to us in two weeks. Again, following a pattern of unreliable and forgetful service, three weeks past without the check. I contacted the manager to ask when I could expect the security deposit and I was told it would come in a week. Another week past without the check and I contacted the manager again. It wasn't until I sent a written notice to threaten legal action that I received a clear indication of when I would be receiving the security deposit back. Each of the problems outlined in this review could have been easily avoided if we were provided with accurate information and were given a realistic set of expectations from our property manager instead of constantly being misinformed. I do not recommending renting property in Eagle River from Real Estate Solutions of Alaska."
