"This restaurant has really gone downhill! I took my 4 friends from out of town for a visit. We paid $772 total for our meal and was very dissapointed. The steak was awful! The food took too long to come out despite no one around except us and 1 other table. I don't mind paying for a good meal but most of the food was pretty terrible. The only decent thing was the lobster bisque and desserts. I would skip this place and go to Southside Bistro or Club Paris or any other fancy restaurant in Anchorage."
"Really disappointed. The food was not worth at all. The appetizer are a really basic salad, and the steak tartare which is one of the good things of this place. First course was actually the best one, good flavors. The problem started on the entree, when we ordered the waiter offered us some king crabs legs, which we said ok thank you, he didn’t mentioned anything about any price, since it’s a premade menu and the 125 pp includes everything we didn’t worry about it. Talking about the dishes the beef tenderloin came with some REALLY chewy and salty mushrooms, which I couldn’t eat because they were disgusting, and the halibut wasn’t even salted, the potatoes were literally some basic baked potatoes that you do in your house and the fish was sitting on top some thinly sliced zucchini which was inedible. The dessert was ok, but really the food was disappointing for the price and they also charged us 80$ for the crab legs. I don’t recommend it at all. The view is nice but it’s just not worth it."
"Intriguing way to the restaurant through the tram, really welcoming atmosphere but way too bright inside for a dinner seating (also there’s no music). $125 pp for a fixed menu plus drinks is extra charge. Of all menu items I liked beer salad, scallop bisque and profiteroles the best, although most meals seems to be okay-ish (not fantastic). Great service and wonderful wine list."
"I expected more, incredibly disappointed! I planned a special dinner with my mother, and we traveled from NC. I put in a request for her vegan meal 2 months prior. She got noodles and sorbet, wasn't even garnished and to be perfectly honest was not good- Her sorbet didn't even have a garnish and her main dish was pho, seriously?? Come on, we paid over $200pp. There were 3 of us. I could've taken her to a Thai restaurant and gotten her a way better meal for a quarter of the price and they probably would've even garnished it.My food was disappointing too, please don't get the halibut, tasted absolutely awful, I couldn't even finish it. I had eaten here in the summer and it was 100x better, I don't know what happened but it was a total waste of our money! We were huge fans the 1st time and planned a bucket list trip for our loved ones to celebrate at your restaurant. This dinner was sadly the worst part of the trip. The view was amazing, the service was good, however even on that you seemed short staffed."
"This is an award winning restaurant and for good reason. It’s a set dinner menu. Cost is $125 per person. The food is amazing and the view is too. The service is attentive and they don’t rush your meal. Ours lasted almost two hours. We had wine and the cost with tax was $362. So expect $300 and tip. if you’re doing wine or drinks with your meal. I have attached photos. We had the beef Tartar, green salad, sourdough bread (bread is an additional cost), crab bisque (comes with one scallop, but you can add more), beef tenderloin, raspberry pink tart, and goat cheesecake. Do try this place!"
