"Bus 40 not picking people up in Spenard area on January 22 2024 around 4pm drove past people who obviously are trying to go to go work the driver didn’t stop at any bus stop in spanard (01/22/24 around 4:00pm today thanks bus 40 bus driver for the inconvenience when your supposed to be convenient"
"Public transport in Anchorage Alaska is probably underfunded and certainly poorly managed. Buses often run late, preventing people from arriving where they need to be on time. The city needs to do something about public transport. It's become an issue for those of us who rely on it. I was late to two important events on my schedule because the buses were between 5-10 minutes late today. I missed an interview, and could not attend an apartment viewing as a result. As buses tend to arrive to stops every 30 minutes, I have to make additional time just to ride the bus and wait at the stops, ultimately taking away time from my schedule every day. This makes it difficult to get other things done when they need to be. Please fix this issue, city hall or whoever manages people mover. It'll probably be worse in winter if nothing is done about it now. Probably."
"Honestly this transit center is my bread and butter in my life growing up before the marine corps. I use to take the bus for the first time on my own in 2015, when I started going to college and came back to anchorage on my own. I remember the food facilities that use to be there and I loved the food and snacks. Unfortunately there have been a lot of budget cuts in this place and it has closed and opened multiple times. They are renovating it at the moment, but it seems even GCI cleared out of there. Don’t think the center will be as great as it use to. But it’s cleaner now, and there are law enforcement officers at times to make sure people stay safe. Hope they bring back stores inside again."
"Provides the basic service's for People Mover commuters, a security office, restrooms. I feel it could be more user friendly in; customer service which has 2 windows and 1 of the 2 is information only (pretty sure due to Budget cuts) as well as visual information for navigating buses, information is split on two separate walls which is not very clear on first glance, especially when you are in a hurry. Also it would help if you could see which busses stopped where outside as before."
"I gave it four stars, mainly for the effort that the People Mover employees put in to try to make it a clean place, and the friendly, helpful staff at the window when I renew my monthly pass. For lack of a better description, plenty of Beggars and Bums hang out, while looking for a handout. The Security Guards are always on top of it when they are bothersome to the legitimate passengers."
