"My wife and I decided to come out to visit our son and his wife in Juneau a few months ago, once we set a date we set a date for a tattoo. Having not been from the area (we’re from the east coast), and not knowing much about the local artists we set out to who was here. Our son recommended High Tide from the work he got several times from Em at High Tide. After looking at their work we contacted her and started communicating with them. She was super excited to work with us and gave ample attention to what we were looking for with suggestions and flexibility to create special pieces for us. The day we arrived for our tattoos she was on time and ready to go. She took her time made sure everything was to what we wanted and set aside the entire afternoon for the two of us. Three tattoos later we couldn’t be happier. Thank you so much to Em and High Tide for the time and attention to make the experience memorable. And thank you for sharing your art and talents, the energy was good, when we come back to Juneau we’ll come back to High Tide Tattoo too!"

"Unfortunately I cannot recommend High Tide Tattoo. Back in early May Dave cancelled my appointment 3 days before it was supposed to take place. I had to cancel my flight, hotel, and car rental. While this was inconvenient I understand that life happens and so I looked forward to rescheduling. Following this event, I tried contacting Dave multiple times via phone calls, text messages, and emails in order to reschedule. After months of trying to get a hold of him, I requested a refund for our $300 gift certificate and for the $100 I paid in order to hold my appointment. I finally heard from Dave on July 23rd and he was very apologetic and let me know that he would send us our refund as soon as we sent him the information for where he should send our refund. I sent him this information right away but it is now September 7th and we have still not received this refund or heard from him. I have tried calling, texting, and emailing numerous times and still no response. I even commented on some of his social media posts. I am typically not the type to leave a negative review, but this is a lot of money and I’m very upset regarding the lack communication I have experienced throughout this whole process."

"Dave was amazing! He was able to get me in just 2 days before the appointment I scheduled (they also take walk-ins if available). We had great conversation while he completed his artwork. He was also super fast! So glad I came here for my first masterpiece!"
