"My first visit to the sleep clinic I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time before finally meeting with the doctor. During my overnight sleep study I was awakened twice due to the technicians talking in the room that was next to mine For my appointment to review my sleep study with the doctor I arrived 5 prior to my appointment time. The receptionist took me back and took my vitals within 5 minutes. She mentioned that the doctor was running a bit late and I returned to the waiting room to wait for the doctor. After sitting there for 45 minutes without any updates I questioned the receptionist as how much longer it would be. She immediately called someone and I heard her say “he’s been here waiting the whole time “. She then asked me if I would like to reschedule, to which I answered no and left. I will never go back to this place. The couldn’t care less about your time!!"
"AK Sleep Clinic is first class Their techs like Micah and Amber are true professionals. The office staff were always helpful and returned calls. I had a sleep apnea study done recently, and learned so much more than I ever had before. I have tried two different companies in the past and due to poor service or no service. The masks never worked. Their sleep facilities are very cozy and I slept great Your data is sent to your doctor So if you want a professional study done and after you pick a medical supply company, here’s my advice 1. Get your doctor to refer you to them. And check your insurance benefits. 2. After your data is analyzed by your doctor, then do a second night for testing for the correct mask for you. Very critical or you’ll be back 3 after you pick a medical supply company and go pick up your equipment, do not let them talk you into a different mask and there is a deadline for returning to get a different mask. Don’t forget! You can trust Alaska Sleep Clinic!"
"This place is very odd and unprofessional. Couple alarm bells rang when visiting Alaska Sleep Clinic. One the area behind the front counter was in much disarray, boxes everywhere, nothing put away, didn't look organized at all. The second thing that was odd, is that there was not a physical exam done by the physician. I was led to a room where they set me up with a zoom appointment with the doctor. And the last straw was when I paid for my co-pay. The person at the counter had to call someone and read my credit card number and information to someone on the phone, in front of 3 other people in the waiting room....then, we had to wait to be emailed a receipt and she had to print it out and retrieve the printout in a different room for a copy for my records? I found it very odd that they didn't have the means to run a credit card in a professional medical facility. I found a more professional medical environment to treat my sleep disorder. However, the staff and the doctor were all very nice and very polite, but the over-all processes that they have in place did not make me feel comfortable or make me want to return for treatment."
