"We got to this store before its closing time of 1am, but it was closed. So wasted was the ride fare for us to get there, and back home empty handed. If the sign says open till 1, they should stay open till said closing time"

"The prices are fine, but the blonde lady that works there is absolutely awful. She didn't like my wife using her DOD ID card in once instance and said it was against the law for her to use it there (100% incorrect as it's a federally issued ID which Anchorage, Alaska accepts for alcohol purchase). Then on this most recent encounter, I wanted to pay with cash this time, then she made a whole ordeal about me wanting to swap to a cheaper bottle of whiskey to avoid using my debit card. She went on about taxes and how I'd pay taxes either way and I kept explaining that the total cost will be reduced if I get a cheaper bottle of alcohol. She didn't like that one bit. Maybe she doesn't like military or something, but a little bit of customer service goes a long way"

"My favourite Oaken Keg is the Aurora Village location. Great beer selection with a decent walk in beer cooler. They do have a lovely wine and spirit selection. The employees are nice and friendly. They do a wonderful job in keeping the store looking great! Cheers!"

"4/5 Rating. The senior staff does amazing. There's a lot of riff raff that comes in, naturally, and they handle both theft and alcohol abuse quite effectively. However, none of their staff enforces the smoking laws like they are required to... by law. I've even seen a manager verbally discipline an employee from her car to the guy smoking as he littered his cigarette butt and her only issue was him littering. Not him smoking within 20ft of the public entrance."

"Selection for such a small store is great. A couple hard to find spirits that I like as I travel were here. However, the staff could use some customer service training on greeting and personality when dealing with the public. The public, whether a regular, an occasional or a passer by is still a customer. When I am in this area again I will search elsewhere first for my tastes if possible."
