Reviews of Alaska Tactical & Security
"I have never shot a pistol before. The AK Tactial staff were very considerate, patient and overall amazing. I went from an absolute fear of firearms to feeling confident in my ability to manage a gun safely and effectively. I strongly suggest them for anyone who is new to guns, knows nothing about them and is interested in learning. I plan to take more classes to become more proficient. Safety is their primary goal and Steve, Tom and everyone there were absolutely wonderful."
"Took a CCW class with these folks and got more than expected. Super pro and excellent instruction. I’ll be back for more training with them."
"Steve has more knowledge and skills than any Alaskan! He is definitely deserves the title “gun ninja” Steve can train anyone to a real defender of liberty! Nice and patient! He always has your best interest in mind! The Noveske’s favorite gun dealer/American!! Casey and family"
"Took a CCW course with Alaska Tactical recently, and was thoroughly impressed with the level of professionalism, service, and safety that all members demonstrated. I was also a patron of the store and never experienced anything less that friendly, helpful staff. If we were staying longer, I would definitely be taking a lot more of their training courses. One of the employees said it best (that explains a lot of the negative reviews): "I respect your firearms knowledge and experience, whatever the level is... but I don't know what that is so please don't feel like I'm talking down to you." As a gun enthusiast, collector, and shooter... I still get the same treatment as anyone else walking into a store where the employees do not know me personally. Don't take anything personally - ask questions and be polite... it will go a tremendously long way to improving your experience. The shop has a good selection of items, despite the pandemic, and can assist with a great number of things. The staff is very, very knowledgeable and knows what they are doing. There are a lot of items on display on the wall that are NOT for sale. Short barreled rifles with silencers and World War antiques - don't take it personally when they say they won't let you handle it. It's not for sale and you're a person walking in off the street. However, there are a lot of REALLY neat firearms that are for sale and worth looking at. Overall, a great bunch of folks and definitely worth a visit no matter your level of forearms experience."
"I hadn’t been in the store for couple urs but i remember being treated great while shopping but when i stopped by this time i felt like the woman was rude. I think they were close to closing or something but either way i felt rushed and i just left. So i dont want this one interaction to prevent me from coming back but i don’t recommend going close to closing lol"
