Susitna Place is a charming bed & breakfast located in downtown Anchorage, Alaska. Situated on a bluff overlooking Cook Inlet, this cozy inn offers stunning views of the water and mountains. Just a short walk from the heart of downtown, guests can easily explore all that Anchorage has to offer, including shops, restaurants, and cultural attractions.
The five rooms at Susitna Place, including a master suite and junior suite, all come with private bathrooms and comfortable accommodations. Guests can enjoy a delicious homemade breakfast each morning, served with plenty of coffee to kickstart their day. The outdoor deck and large windows provide a perfect spot to take in the breathtaking scenery, including views of Mount Susitna and the Alaska Range on clear days.

"The truly comfortable accommodations and magnificent view of Mt. Susitna greatly surpass all other B&B’s I’ve experienced in my lifetime! Each morning was a joy to sip hot coffee by the large picture windows to take in the view of ice floes slowly moving south on Knit Arm, gaze upon the shape of Susitna’s sleeping lady, and spot pairs of C130s flying precisely close together on approach to Elmendorf Air Force Base. The bed in the Susitna Suite was so comfy I slept 7 hours straight for the first time ages. Monica leaves no stone unturned in providing detail needed to fully enjoy all the comforts of Susitna Place such as directions for keyless entry, easy use of fireplace, and tv viewing. You will find a good supply of Alaska travel and nature brochures by the coffee bar and if you’d rather search online there is excellent wifi service for finding nearby restaurants, museums, etc. Run out of clean socks…there’s even a large laundry room downstairs. This is a perfect place to stay in Anchorage!"
"So happy we found Susitna Place for our stay in anchorage. Monica was a great hostess giving us advice on things to do and places for dinner, she took care of our reservations and contacting transportation for us. Rooms were very nice and breakfast was plentiful. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend."
"Great location. Great, friendly and caring hosts. I spent a few nights here on my visit to Alaska with my son. The hosts were flexible with my requests and very accommodating to me and my son. I am very appreciative of their hospitality as it made my visit to Alaska very convenient and rewarding. The morning breakfast was delicious. This is my first choice for future visits to Alaska. Highly recommend this b&b."
"This B&B is excellent!! Great breakfast with plenty of choice, even for the most picky eaters. Views are incredible, even saw Denali from the breakfast room! Very comfortable bed, we enjoyed a great nights sleep. Monica is The Best Hostess, doing everything to make you feel at home. And this is exactly the feeling we got at Susitna place after our cruise, it felt like coming home."
