"I honestly can't say enough about the entire crew at Haven! I learned more from them during my prenatal appointments than I ever could have dreamed, and I enjoy doing my own research. We always spent the full hour during appointments together, which was very important to me after years of fertility issues and feeling ignored by doctors for years. They are open to all of your decisions and opinions for your birth, body, and baby! My little man was stuck for a very long labor at their birth center, and Bethel and Laura couldn't have made me feel safer the entire time. We worked so hard together to get him to reposition, but eventually, they told me it was time to transfer to the hospital. Without them, I never would have been able to labor so long unmedicated and can see how amazing the birth with them could have been if it went differently! Laura accompanied us to the hospital and advocated for us the whole time! I ended up an unplanned c-section because the hospital also couldn't get him to reposition and dilate me enough to give birth vaginally. I even got skin to skin with my baby right after he was weighed in the c-section room and I doubt that would have happened without Laura making sure the hospital knew our desires and helped us stay firm with them. Haven continued my care to 6 weeks, and those home visits after the c-section were what kept us sane during an insane recovery. When they "release" you from care, it's with a, "call anytime" and a big hug. My birth did not go as planned whatsoever but I couldn't imagine going through it all with anyone else!"
