"My labor and delivery experience was phenomenal. The entire collection of nurses, doctors, etc who helped us during labor, delivery and post partum were incredible. Thank you to the care providers here, it meant the world to be in such wonderful, competent hands."
"Worst experience at this place. There was so much misinformation. Misunderstandings. Nursing coming in and setting an alarm off my first night with my son. Bugs found in the room and having to be moved over to a new room. I pray that no one ever has to deliverer a baby here again. 7 years later and my sons medical charts are STILL wrong. How can a legal hospital have INCORRECT information on my sons chart. This could effect the way he is treated medically… DO NOT GO HERE"
"Just delivered my third baby. We originally planned a homebirth but that shifted to a hospital birth when I found out my heart condition had worsened. I needed some more intensive monitoring and was induced to ensure everyone who needed to be standing by was. Everything went smoothly, I felt respected, heard, seen, everyone explained everything and I had a lot of autonomy even in a situation where I needed so much extra monitoring. It was basically opposite of the experience I had planned but the staff at Providence made this a really wonderful experience. I felt safe and looked after which relieved my anxiety a lot. Baby and I are just fine and I'm thankful for such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend Providence for anyone who needs to/wants to birth in the hospital."
"Labor and delivery rooms have been updated recently. Nicer mother and baby rooms. Gathering areas for family after delivery. I delivered twins naturally here but was pressured by almost every doctor to have an unnecessary cesarean even though both babies were head down and they were fraternal and healthy. Other than hospital policies forcing me to not push until I was in an operating room I was happy with how well the delivery went. I would advise people not to let people pressure you into doing anything unnecessary medically. I also delivered my five year old here after my ex and I broke up and almost immediately after I delivered my son they sent a social worker to my room from catholic social services to see if I would give up my son to them. I will say my twin experience was the best experience. Try to consult with your doctor about as much as possible before delivery is my advice. I haven’t been to regional but I would compare both places. If you are having multiples the upside to Providence is they have a NICU which most multiples need. They have a good nursing shop and the lactation consultants are very helpful. They also have a variety of pregnancy and parenting classes available including babysitting for older siblings. Support group available for moms of multiples as well."
